Getting ready to move in two days! Very excited to be getting out of Eugene and away from then heavy drug culture here. For my money, I don't believe in making drugs illegal, but I also don't believe in taking them 24-7, which is what Eugene is into. And actually, the biggest problem is the alchohol. I don't drink anymore (aside from tasty English beer), but so many of the people I know here do... to excess. I guess excess is the word. There's not much for people to aspire to in Eugene, so they end up abusing their bodies with an excess of alchohol and weed. Almost anything in moderation is okay, but...
In any case, I'm leaving. In other news, the film is almost complete and we've started storyboarding for our next project, which we'll be taking to the Sundance film festival.

Now, that's some crappy stuff: yesterday, got a call from someone about a car accident that had just happened. I took my camera and went to the site to take pics of the event to put in this weekend's edition. At that time, the ambulances had already left, and things weren't looking good for one driver of the cars involved in the crash, but I didn't know who it was. It's after that, when I was back at the office, that I learned that the victim was the father of my colleague and neighbor, who is currently not working because she had gave birth to her third kid two weeks ago. That's probably the worst possible thing for a journalist: be at the scene of a tragedy and realise that you know the victim. I knew the guy, and to tell you the truth, it was a little bit hard for me to write the article since I was thinking about my colleague. That is probably the crappiest text, in terms of feelings, that I had to write in my career so far.

The usual... look for a job, don't find a job, play video games (only now with the added purpose of reviewing them!), write stories, wonder where I could best find a girlfriend...
It's not as bland as all that, actually. For instance, tomorrow I'm going to see the premiere of my film!

Going to the Super Bowl of the North this Sunday. That is, the Grey Cup game, the championship for the Canadian Football League, and the home town team is playing in it! W00T!

It has now been a week since my grandpa slipped on ice and knocked his head. His brain bleed, so we brought him to the hospital where he still is today. He might become partly paralyzed on the left side of his body, and he might continue to mix his souvenirs and not recognized correctly people. It is not a very fun time at home currently...
