Of course, I'm not looking exactly at another job as a journalist but anything that is linked to communication. I even consider to go take a look at the local radio station to see if they don't have anything. But for now, I'm mostly thinking of what I will do with my vacations. I'm seriously thinking of spending a week in Vancouver, BC! ;D

Oh, British Columbia! Leaping from tree to tree, as they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia. The Giant Redwood. The Larch. The Fir! The mighty Scots Pine! I wanted to be a lumberjack! ;D One of my friends says that BC is one of the most beautiful countries... I mean provinces ... in the World, and Vancouver one of the World's most beautiful cities. I've never been there, but it's definitely on the top of my "Must-go-there" list.

BC, Zipp, I wish you guys the best of luck. The economy sucks all over the world and so many people remain jobless (myself included). I've been getting a small unemployment insurance check once a week from the government, but I'm quite grateful for it. Would you guys consider looking for a job outside of your current industry? All the people I know who got a job within the past year had to look outside of their field. One person actually moved halfway around the world to a place with a cheaper cost of living. I haven't gotten a job INSIDE my field. The job I lost was a crappy server position at a white-trash restaurant. My field would be English or film. I am working in film, but it's not paying the bills. My best bet currently is to go back to school and hide until the shit blows by. I am planning on going back for an Educational Masters, but I'm waiting on loan money (school starts in one week, so I NEED that money to arrive pronto!) All very stressful. I'm playing lots of video and board games to compensate.

Perhaps you should get a job as a lumberjack. Then you'd be okay,

Fingers crossed for the loan coming in on time. Corrupt bank managers don't really steal individual accounts, don't worry!

Perhaps you should get a job as a lumberjack. Then you'd be okay, Unfortunately, I've read somewhere on the BBC that most of the lumberjacks in Br. Columbia are nowadays underpaid illegal migrants from Africa. The things have changed slightly since the Monty Pythons' times. Thus, I don't see much opportunities for Black Cat there. Corrupt bank managers don't really steal individual accounts, don't worry! I wouldn't bet my monthly salary on that, Wuufie! At least not here in the Wild East...

Took my family camping to a lovely site called Fforest Fields in Wales. As I sidenote changed a tyre on the way due to a puncture so swings and roundabouts and sorry for the threadnomancy but wanted to share

Don't worry about it. I like this thread! Welcome back (I know you've announced your return elsewhere, but I didn't reply). And camping is great fun. Always loved it as a kid, and still do.
Today, I met a couple of friends for lunch at La Tasca and had a beer in Zero Degrees. Now I'm back home about to embark on Zaed's loyalty mission in ME2.

Thanks, yes I was very proud of the wee fella. He was perfectly well behaved throughout the church service, the actual ceremony and even the party we had afterwards. He only started screaming the place down when he got home.

Yesterday was waiting by the phone for a call from my mechanic to let me know my car was fixed, but didn't get it.
But on the plus side I had a meeting with the directors on Monday when I returned from holiday to discover that I was being offered a slightly revised contract but with a substantial increase in salary (£2,500 now, with a further £3,000 if my January review is positive)
