Book is on the way, btw- Swifty should be getting it this week or early next one.
@wh, I could not see any "damage" at a first glance, honestly; as a matter of fact, the book looks Very Good, despite having travelled around the whole world.

Christ, the wandering book really puts it all in perspective... I've been part of the online LW community for longer than I dated Shannon! That means I've been doing this for 6 years now!

How long HAS the book been wandering? Once it hits the UK its progress through the list should be rapid, so it's almost done.

I mailed it early last week (Monday afternoon, me thinks). It should have arrived this week, at most (regular mail takes 3-4 week days from here to the UK). I can not go to the Post Office until Monday in case of a problem (I'm going on a trip tomorrow), but hopefully, it will arrive before the week ends.

There's only about six people left before the book finally reaches JD. What a journey!

I'm afraid I have some bad news: the book was returned to me today, due to a mistake I made when writing Swiftstrike's address in the package (there's a missing word); needless to say, I feel terribly embarassed about this and I am very, very Sorry for this delay I caused. I will post the book again, first thing tomorrow morning. Again, my deepest apologies.

That is some what of a relief for myself I must say, I was getting a little panicky that it hadn't turned up yet, well the important this is that it isn't lost and just slightly delayed.

Compared with the months of delay it experienced in the southern USA, a few days is nothing

How did I miss Simey's post? Anyway, that's very kind of you to say - I sure don't see myself in that light - even though I have been a member of the community for bloody ages. 8 years I think (anyone remember the Kaiwisdom mailing list?). Suits me fine, although I question Joe's wisdom if he lets me get hold of his address... -GB

I actually have Joe's address in the UK from a couple of years ago when I bought a calendar off him on eBay, but I don't know if that'll be any good!

Or will we have to send it to Singapore? Anyway, better GB than me to send it last!
