Beowuuf:
You are fast enough and clear the wall in time.
Doomy: In your hurry an obstacle on the ground causes you to trip and you do not clear the wall in time. The edge on the wall hits you and sends you to the ground again.
You take 6 physical damage. Two of these are resisted so the final damage is 4. You have 26 Health remaining.
You are now fairly close to the corpse you noticed earlier.
Next Round: Your problem with the wall does not end there. The wall turns and starts chasing you from behind. You have a small lead on it but there is very little time to think about the decision.
Clearing the wall to the left is fairly easy. (moving away from Sylvia)
Clearing the wall to the right is fairly difficult. (moving towards Sylvia). Notice also that another wall is moving towards Sylva but it looks like there will be a little room between the two walls while they pass close to each other in opposite directions.
Continuing onwards towards the corpse looks very dangerous. In fact the wall is likely to hit the corpse and move it closer to the centre.
Beowuuf has a slightly easier job to try and clear the wall than Doomy.
Sylvia on her side is a confronted by a wall approaching from the other direction. The easier clear for her is to her right, so she heads in that direction away from you.

Right. You have 12 activity points and 2 perception points per round and a +2 Stealth Cloak.
How much Stealth, Search and Activity points for the first round moving forwards?
If you spend 8-10 activity points on movement the first round, then you will be at a place where you can start the run for the jump. More activity on movement and you will be too close to the area.

OW! I have had better plans, I guess.
Since I failed once already I'll try the easier option and dodge to the left. Hopefully the wall will simply push the corpse rather than turn it into jam.

Can I aid Doomy, or am I just slightly better placed to avoid the wall nexttime and should concentrate on running forward?

Is there a Power Word: Speed?

Can I aid Doomy, or am I just slightly better placed to avoid the wall nexttime and should concentrate on running forward? You have to move... and fast. You are a little further from the wall and is therefore slightly better positioned. You probably shouldn't run forward unless you believe the wall will change direction again... which it might. Oh, and yeah... You could cast Speed on Doomy. Just note how much Mana you will use.

I think the full 3 mana power word on Doomy, just incase he needs to go in a sub-optimal route!
And ok, move left to clear the wall easily. And meanwhile yell at Sylvia to make sure she's ok.

Beowuuf:
You cast the Power-Word on Doomy. Perhaps it distracts you because you fail to see a pot-hole in the ground and fall and gashes your knees.
You lose 1 Health.
Painfully you scramble to your feet in an attempt to clear the wall. No such luck, although you almost make it. You are hit on the side and take another 3 damage while being sent to the ground a second time.
Beowuuf has 26 Health left. Beowuuf has spent 9 of 15 Mana so far and has recovered 3 points.
(Sorry, rolled a 0 for you. Can't let you go unscathed after that. Last round it was Doomy who rolled the 0.)
Doomy: You clear the wall easily this round.
Sylvia: Waves back at Beowuuf and moves in other direction. She clears her wall easily as well.
Wall movements: Wall which approached Sylvia starts moving towards Doomy and Beowuuf. It doesn't turn so it is in no danger hitting you and is still some distance away.
Walls which approached Doomy and Beowuuf continues and buffets the corpse a bit further away, and then turns 90 degrees and continues away from you. This Wall poses no further threat for some time.
New Walls: A new wall rises up from the ground almost directly under Beowuuf and Doomy. It rises up so the short sides of the walls faces Sylvia in one direction and the cave wall (not the exit or entrance) in the other direction.
At this point you do not know if the Wall will move and in what direction. It is simply rising up under you. Choose which side you want to be relative this new wall first. Closer to the exit or closer to the entrance?

You can spend up to 3 on either Search or Stealth, but no more than that on one of them. (I.e. you must spent at least one point on Search and one point on Stealth.)

I will position myself on the exit (north?) side of the new wall, since we're trying to advance through the room rather than go back where we came from.

I will gather myself up and follow Sylvia! Need to know which side of the wall you aere going to first. Sylvia is mostly to the left "side" although heading towards the exit. So this doesn't tell me which side of the wall you will move to. You could of course stay on the top of the wall and move along it towards Sylvia, and then take a jump down. If the wall starts to move this jump will incur some risk of damage.

On the other side of the slow flowing magma river you spot a small secret cache concealed among the red rocks.
Close to this secret cache is a Fire trap which you discover is triggered by a trip wire. Being careful you should be able to avoid this trap.
Further ahead there is a smouldering corpse, and there is another corpse further to your right hand side.
There is no signs of further trigger points for the Fire-hurling constructions.
