With one activity, you can move from A-5 SE to A-5 NE (Move North) A-5 SW (Move West) A-6 NE (Move South) B-5 SW (Move East) General target is to the South and/or East. Which direction for the ranged search?

The areas immediately to your east are covered with plants and bushes. You think you spot something of use there. Useful plants may be found both on B-8 and on B-9.
You spot three enemies standing to guard to the south-east. They look like spellcasters to you which is confirmed when one of them looks in your direction and spots you.
He does not seem inclined to warn his confederates, instead starting to cast a spell. Whether it is defensive or offensive you cannot say.
Mage 1: B-10 SW. (Aware) Mage 2: B-10 SE. (Unaware) Mage 3: B-10 NE. (Unware)
You can stealth attack the nearest unaware mage (Mage 3)should you so desire.
You will have two perception points next round as well which you can put into the stealth attack.

So, stealth attack Mage 3. Then stealth attack again using carry-over points. Psychic fear on the mage casting a spell (Mage 1). Continue to hit Mage 3 until he falls. Move to hit nearest Mage for rest of activity.

Oooo pistol! Against Mage 2 yes? Why not, let the b'stard have it ;D
pistol against both Mages, since their now in a line attack Mage 2 if he's still alive; if not move to attack Mage 1
psychic fear AFTER pistol shot? I dont want to use the fear affect which makes someone run away from my line of shot, so if I can psychic after firing then great. If not, I'll hold oof on fearing this round.

Looting of Mage #1 you find nothing of interest.
At a glance your search this round reveals nothing of interest on the two other mages either. Looting them is probably not worth the effort.
Since you had the Perception point to look around (cannot use them for looting), what type of features around you would you mainly be looking for? (if any)
