Bioware have finally confirmed something they've been hinting at for a while: Mass Effect 3 will feature some sort of multiplayer mode. www.pcgamer.com/2011/10/10/mass-effect-3-multiplayer-confirmed/It's still unclear what form the multiplayer will take, but I think they'll need to be very careful. At no point in the previous games did I ever think "hmm, what Mass Effect needs is multiplayer". With the ME combat system, they could go for some sort of adversarial mode, a la Gears of War. I hope not though. The only type of multiplayer I can see actually working is a separate suite of co-op missions, in which you and a friend or friends go on isolated, non-story related operations. Something like Special Ops from Modern Warfare 2, or Terrorist Hunt from Rainbow 6: Vegas 2.

8 or something...I wonder at the idea of a smart, naked half-ogre running around. And I only learned Harm. Didn't you need Intelligence to increase magic skills ? Anyway, one of the elemental magic skills is probably much preferrable to start and with so little magic preference your magic skills are ineffective. You need either high Persuasion or Intelligence to get to access a lot of the content in the game. You should probably have gone straight melee with the character. Then some charisma is good so you can add some followers. There is a valid evil path in this game. Best is if you start with elf for that, then you can be really, really evil. But also other races can do a lot of evil things.

My guess is there are going to be certain non main storyline missions that you can do with a friend, probably some DLC as well.

Just picked up Dark Souls. Gonna go have a cigarette and prepare to bang my head against the wall for the next four hours. God help me. Because I refuse to not finish a game once I've started. I've spent 5+ hours straight throwing myself at a boss in games such as Final Fantasy and the like. This is going to destroy me...

Demon's Souls...I remember that I died a million times in Boletaria Palace, aka the first area from the first archstone in Nexus.

Hmm, so despite Bethesda saying quite clearly that all pre-orders of Skyrim will get a cloth map, that's actually not true. Here in the UK, only ShopTo and 365Games are known to have the cloth map editions, and Amazon UK have stated explicitly that they definitely don't have it.
It's not a major issue, but if I'd pre-ordered from Amazon, Play, or any of my other regulars, I'd be quite cross to have the game turn up without its map. Is it that hard to give accurate information? 'All pre-orders'...pfft.

Srry for double posting, but should I continue on in Boletaria Palace, or go to Stonefang, Latria, Defilement, or Storms? (One of the Archstones is cracked)

Just realised I'm ranked #6 in the world for Magic 2012, single-player mode on 360. Considering there are 226,884 players ranked, that's a little embarrassing.

Honestly, it's not a feat worthy of congratulation. It doesn't even mean I'm any good. It merely signifies that I spend far too much time using my 360 for the equivalent of playing Patience, rather than any of the myriad state-of-the-art entertainment experiences I could be using it for. Even I don't know how many games I own, yet most of my gaming time is spent flipping virtual cards against an AI. An AI that cheats, at that. Other than that and my online Blood Bowl league, I seem to have largely lost the willpower to play games to completion lately. Think I'm getting old.

I get game fatigue occasionally. I deal with it by not playing anything for a while, and only coming back to games when I really want to play something in particular.
I've been playing more indie stuff lately. Last night I found one that's similar (but not identical) to Magic, for the princely sum of 240 MSP. That's what I love about the indie section. You can find some good, imaginative stuff, and it's always cheap.
