On the subject of indie games, Cthulhu Saves the World is rather fun. It's a parody of, and tribute to, 16-bit console RPGs that adds a few twists of its own. I also quite like Epic Dungeon, which is a simplistic roguelike. Also, having a high ranking on Magic seems to attract a bit of attention from randoms. Got a message today, from someone I've never heard of, consisting of a single word: "gay".

Yeah, I enjoyed the demo of Cthulhu Saves the World and will probably get it at some point. There's another recent one in a similar vein called Doom & Destiny. Again, I've only played the demo but liked it.
Sticking with Xbox indie games: ELITE. Well, not actually Elite, but about as close to it as you can get without being sued. It's called Final Rift and it costs a mighty 80 MSP. I recommend it either to Elite fans or to people like me, who liked Elite's ideas but found its mechanics clumsy.

I have Final Rift. It's surprisingly pretty compared to most indie offerings. Haven't got the hang of combat though.

I find the key to combat is to sit still. Well, almost. Manoeuvring at any sort of speed is unwieldy. Having said that, I'm only in the second rift at the moment. It probably gets harder.

Not to mention Skyrim in less than a week.
I have a week off work coming up, too...

I can't afford Skyrim, Batman, Battlefield 3, or any of the others I'd like to get. Hence all the indie games.
On which note: Sequence. Oh, Sequence. If only it was longer.

I've logged over 70 hours on Skyrim now - if you've ever enjoyed an Elder Scrolls game, you need this.

Get the dog in Arcanum. Or else he will be killed by the gnome kicking him.

No X-Box and no graphics card and that's why I bought Skyward Sword. Seriously, you NEED this even if you havn't played a Zelda game before.

Some other FANTASTIC indie games are Hoard and Magicka. I don't think I've gotten more out of a few bucks than those two games. Magicka is really better with a group of friends and some sort of voice program, I've found - there is much screaming and crying and gnashing of teeth, ye shall never forget it!

I've just completed AC: Revelations. Not much different from the precedent game, but still very enjoyable. The final "fight" is good but is not as I expected. I'm looking forward to AC3 (which should in fact be #5) to see the conclusion of the saga.

I've just been finishing Arkham City side missions... since December. What a great game- really makes the 1st one feel kinda like a demo or something.
I can't wait to get my hands on Skyrim, although i don't mind to wait a couple of months just so those ps3 issues get solved. But, sweet jesus, that is one beautiful looking game- i may be expecting too much, but it does look like The RPG for the next years.
Retro-wise, i'm currently addicted to Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES.
And I'm also re-playing Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

Oh gosh, this is so cheap from Bioware.
Have you seen this new promotion by Bioware for Mass Effect 3?
One month before, two teens did the exact same thing and got praised for that:
I hope these two guys will get at least a copy of the game for coming up with this idea that has been blalantly stolen by a big corporation.
