This is the official planning thread for the West Watch. It is meant to help authors talk with each other about their plans for each chapter and posts. Things that are appropriate to post here:
- questions about what should be posted next
- questions about the current or upcoming storylines
- questions about the state of a character related to the storyline
- questions clarifying what has happened in the plot or to a character for plot purposes
- ideas for the next post or storyline
Essentially, anything to do with the plot or planning a story should be put here. Praise and criticism of posts, or commentary on the posts, should be put in the OOC thread.

Okay, to get us started, I'll repost my question from the last thread.... where is everyone going to be at the start of the story?
- Al is at the embassy (is he going to be traveling with the main group or will he deal with a related situation back at the embassy?)
- Beowuuf is scouting ahead of the main force (what are you planning on encountering?)
- Simey is with Armadalus in the main force
- Nighthunter is in the main force (is someone writing for his character or will he die as a peripharial?)
- Sera Veshin is with Evil TB, who is wandering around the Wildlands
- The Chaos Master waits near Eshnar. What's his plan?

If the idea of somehow the prescence of chaos and his minions drawing the chaos out of the surroundings temporarily, it would be interesting to have Beowuuf finding nothing in scouting, but it being apparent he's being spied on somehow. And also subtly exhibiting some odd signs of the anti-chaos effect.
Might make for an interesting set of dread.
Nothing planned after need to see wheree everyone's posts put them.

Haha, nope.
Probably shouldn't blab any more on an internet forum. Suffice to say that while I was interviewed by the police I didn't actually witness anything and will be kicked out of the court after I've explained as much to the prosecutors. Only problem is it might take a while for them to get round to me.

Right, so I guess in my post I hinted at a few things I guess we should agree on, or I should change. The first was something I metnioned before, that somehow, the creatures of Chaos themselves affect the world around them. So they are pulling 'chaos' to them, and therefore anything close to where they are falls into a more orderly state. Secondly, the idea that while the Chaosmaster is powerful, his whims make him unpredicatable. That might make quite a nice fall back if anyone evre does anything that, in retrosopect, seems foolish. Blame it on the Chaosmaster being chaotic  |

Well.. once Seras finished writhing about in eggy pain, the 2 have a few options. They could head to V'Ka straight into the lions den but I think that would be a tad foolish. They could head back to Eshnar but again I think that would be pointless since theres nothing there. So I think they should head up to the Darklands via Ruanon, with their ultimate goal being back in Kaag to muster whatever forces are there against the CM. Ultimately I dont think we should keep everyone apart for too long. So maybe on their way up to Kaag, ETB and Sera could bump into NH's patrol or something. Then a dialogue could start in between the 2 factions, since ETB has the inside scoop he could decide wether to let the armies of Good know about "no Xog, yes CM" inhabiting V'Ka. Thoughts?? Just as a side, Ive mentioned the CM now in V'Ka without actually haven writen anything in the story to back that up. You can all know (as writers, not characters  ) that once the CM had appeared in Eshnar, he follow the gourgaz supply line directly down to V'Ka and took it over. The undead giaks are all really properly dead now, and the gourgaz have been inslaved to Chaos. This could mean interesting Chaos mutations amongst the gourgaz population when it comes to describing any Chaos patrols or whatever. |
