Beowuuf:
On the second rouge you discover: Shortsword Dagger Leather armour.
Backpack containing 2 Fireseed. 1d6 Fire damage. DoT. Reduce initial damage by 1/round. 1AP. Eye. Miss = Half. 2 Vials filled with Blood
There are also a number of trophies there which seems to have been collected from dead bodies. There is still chopped of thingers and a couple of hair scalps among other gory and bloodied items.
Pouch with 9 Lune, 4 Copper Rings, 2 Silver Ring. All of these have blood traces still on them.
You can also make a more thorough look of the backpack which I've assumed you didn't look more closely at when you noticed its grizzly content.
Anything you want to do with these items before starting your search around the room ?

Giak finds:
2 Shortswords 1 Dagger 1 Backpack 1 Ring of Fortitude. Grants a +2 to roll when checking DC against Strength. 1 Kourshah. Lime-green wine with delicious taste. Restores 1d6 Health. 1 Laumspur Potion. Restores 4d3 Health. 50% chance to cure Poisons and Diseases. 1 Tinderbox 30 Lune
You find: 1 Sword 1 Shield 1 Shortsword 1 Dagger 1 Leather armor 1 Backpack 1 Poison Pellet. Poison Strength DC 6-9. Lasts 3 rounds. 1 Gold ring 1 Unknown herb/seed. (You may try to identify it.) 14 Lune
The Giak takes one of the Backpacks. It is willing to carry anything in it which you cannot find place for yourself. You can also give weapons articles to the Giak. It would use the Shield for instance.
Giak is armed with: 1 Blacksteel sword 1 Leather armour And that's pretty much it.

Is the giak injured at all? If so I'll give it the Kourshah to drink now. I'll take the Fortitude ring and wear it, and the lune and the plain gold ring. Can the poison pellet go in the pouch for easy access? The giak can have the shield, the longsword, a shortsword and the dagger. If the leather armour found is any better quality that what it is wearing, then do a swap. The giak can have the laumspur in its pack and the tinderbox. I'll then identify the herb.

The Giak took 3 damage during the fight. Kourshah used and it restored 2 Health.
The poison pellet is a thrown weapon and does area of Effect damage damage(poison) where it lands. It goes in either backpack or satchel.
Giak has one readied slot as well and can use this pellet if you so want.
Giak takes the Shield and an extra sword, but the shortsword and dagger will be put in its pack. Plus Laumspur and Tinderbox.
As for the Herb. How much activity will you spend trying to find out what it is? (From 3 activity up to 3 rounds.)

Hmm, leave the grisly trophies, but will at least examine the rings for signs there is something more to them. If there are no inscriptions to show who owned them, nor evidence they have power, will leave them on the corpse.
Take the fireseeds (offer them to Sylvia first, keep them if she doens't want them) and leave the weapons and armour, Split the lune 4 to me and 5 to her if she wants it.
Take the vials of blood, assuming they have some use - ask Sylvia if she knows any reason to carry them, other than because the man was disturbed.
Also, perhaps cut the backpack along the sides, top and botton to look for a hidden section. Perhaps do the same with the man's clothing.

If there are no inscriptions to show who owned them, nor evidence they have power, will leave them on the corpse. Two of the copper rings and one of the silver rings have enscriptions in the form of carved initials. They might be identifiable. The silver ring is of normal silver but its shape and cut will add some chances of it being identifiable. Take the fireseeds (offer them to Sylvia first, keep them if she doens't want them) and leave the weapons and armour, Split the lune 4 to me and 5 to her if she wants it. Sylvia accepts the Fireseeds and lets you keep all the Lune. Take the vials of blood, assuming they have some use - ask Sylvia if she knows any reason to carry them, other than because the man was disturbed. Given the contents of the backpack (which Sylvia only noticed from a distance) she thinks it likely that it was meant for ritual purposes. "Evil rituals," she adds and asks you not to bring them along. Also, perhaps cut the backpack along the sides, top and botton to look for a hidden section. Perhaps do the same with the man's clothing. Perhaps ?

Ok, definately cut the backpack and clothes to look for anything nasty. Leave the blood. Take the identifiable rings, and mention the reason for taking them. Probably given them to the blacksmith later, as it is likely everyone has to go to him eventually - he can keep them out so people can identify them and know what happened to their loved ones (and know it was avenged), and he can also use them after a suitable period of time in no one does.

Ok then. I'll ask the giak "where were you heading before you got attacked?"
Trying to find out what it knows about the area.

Beowuuf:
You spend some time cutting up the backpack and clothes. The search comes up empty though. There seems to be nothing nasty or of particular interest hidden in either place.
You want to look more closely at the scroll now, or start moving around searching for secret exits?
