At the moment I have to prepare two presentations and a debate, write an essay, and devise my dissertation. Any reviews will have to wait at least a week. I've finished my dissertation thesis three months ago. I'll have to defend it next month, I think, don't know exactly yet. Since then, I've been trying to recover from writing it... without any significant success. Good luck, anyway! zipp: I'll try to write something to Honest Gamers in my pidgin English as soon as I find some spare time. I only know old (retro, as you say) games. Actually, I haven't played a new game (if you don't count custom dungeons for Dungeon Master) for a very long time... for years I think... for many years I think... actually, you wouldn't believe it, but I don't remember playing a newer game than Fallout 2... most be a decade... Now I'm only playing custom dungeons for DM/CSB, if I find some time. But I have loads of old games both in my computer and in my memory (I mean in my head).

Since then, I've been trying to recover from writing it... without any significant success. Fortunately I don't have to start writing it yet, but I do have to decide on a topic, outline my proposed research and apply to a supervisor. I have no idea what I should choose.

Samildanach Emrys: May I ask you what generally are you studying or what is a general topic of your thesis going to be? zipp: OK, sorry for that, this has nothing to do with Honest Gamers... I just cannot make my head to stick to one topic...

My degree is History and Archaeology. At the moment, I'm leaning towards doing my dissertation on something from medieval history, but only because I get on really well with the senior lecturer for that period. I could do it on something archaeological, but archaeology tends to be more science-based than I'm comfortable with.

Personal relations are actually very important. I'm a geographer (or, a wanna-be-geographer), by the way, with a hobby-interest into historical geography.

I'm really sorry about this, here I am trying get everyone to join, and then they can't ~ Zipp feels embarrased and hopes everyone will try again once he figures out what the problem is

Okay, everyone, please try again, now. Jason (site owner) fixed it as soon as I notified him. He says everything should be okay, and he apologizes personally for the inconvenience.

Any ideas what you might submit first? I was thinking about doing a rant explaining in intimate detail exactly why I hate Jumpman Jr on the Commodore 64, but then I realised a more "hey kids! This game is older than you but it's still good!" kinda thing might make for a better debut.
