Hey everyone, you should join Honest Gamers and help us make it a larger, more recognized, reviewing site. Also, if you join and make a quick post on the forums saying you joined cause of me, I get bonus points. So what's in it for you? Anyone who is part of the site can submit reviews, and most reviews get taken, increasing your writing portfolio. Also, members often leave helpful feedback for writers, so you can improve your writing abilities. Writers also get to participate in on-site contests for free games (usually two or three free games a month). It's easy to join, and easy to win. So what's keeping ya? EDIT: Well, maybe a link... here you go: www.honestgamers.com/Users/newaccountform.php?refer_id=4862

I'm a gamer, I'm brutally honest, and I can write a bit. Maybe I'll submit something. Need to check how the site feels about retro stuff though, lately I've been mostly playing games that are almost as old as you.
Hell, I put some time into Yar's Revenge the other week - that came out before you did.

Hmm, Dungeon Master and Monkey Island 1 & 2 - I am so bleeding edge I may need to check I'm not wanted by the police!
If I get out from under with work, I might be tempted to put in a few retro reviews, and perhaps the web-based KoL I also play, but I'm not a hardened gamer by any means!

Do you prefer Dungeon Master on ST or Amiga? ;D

We LOVE retro stuff. We're actually kind've known as being one of the only sites reviewing retro and obscure titles (including, of all things, hentai titles) alongside the modern titles. Why, it was my Iron Tank review that won me my first site award (review of the week).
If you're up for it, Doomy and Beo, we could actually use some fresh retro reviews about now. Just be sure to mention me when you join.

AMIGA RULES! I mean...let's not stir up old arguments And ok, might try a KoL and DM review at some point, and reference your name too

Dungeon Master is classic. I could never get the second one to play well, though.

I mean...let's not stir up old arguments Indeed. I think we all have agreed that ATARI WAS MUCH BETTER and there is really no need to further review this final conclusion.

Indeed, I think we can all agree that the accidental brutal disabling of Jan's DM.com account was a regretable accident, and move forward from there Yeah, DM II was tricky to set up on new computers, and even on old computers there is a little glitch with getting the set up working. Ok as a game, but never captured the same feel as DM and CSB (despite the better AI and graphics / world interface)

As you suggested, Zipp, when I get chance I'll start reviewing the free MMORPGs I've been trying.

My advice to new reviewers is to just get out there and write your reviews! It's the only way they'll ever get done!

At the moment I have to prepare two presentations and a debate, write an essay, and devise my dissertation. Any reviews will have to wait at least a week.

That's fine, but do make sure you get over there! Your opinion is much needed. Also, there's some LW fans over there I'm trying to convince to join our community, and some cross-over action couldn't hurt.
