I have the admin rights to start rebuiding and repopulating the encyclopedia.
Queries: 1. Do we have anything stored which we can recover from the previous one?
Otherwise, I suggest that we start to repopulate the encyclopedia with common terms. A good start I think would be:
- Races - Items - Monster Descriptions - Character descriptions - Gods and Demi-gods - Nations (but it would have to be mini-descriptions then) - Geographical items (Islands, chasms, and so on.)
At this stage we only include things which have been mentioned in the Lone Wolf books.
How to write things:
I guess the tough way. Write it in a word-processor of your choice.
The work you eventually submit to me must be saved in plain text format.
Limit yourself to less than 1 page of text for any one article.
Before starting on any of the above, we discuss which items needs to be listed for each type of description. So suggest here what you wish to list, and what you wish it to contain.

Didn't we start the Encyclopedia with the one that was used over at Desert Lynx's Oasis?

I'll take items may as well work down the list. Remember to write a sample here so we agree on the contents and level of detail for each item. If you want you can take a sub type of items. Like herbs, potions, or artifacts, and start with any of those. I guess I will take a stab at Nations myself towards the end of the list myself.

Sample
Laumspur
A rare shrub with bright red flowers, it's leaves are dry to the touch. The plant grows in small clumps in the wild and can be found growing all over magnamund. It is well known as a plant with healing properties and it is said to be quite delicious to taste. The leaves can be distilled into a red coloured potion or used to create a healing pad.

Some more additions/edits. Most herbs cannot be eaten with benefit unprepared so I've added this information. Also made the more information about the taste absolute. If the text indicates it is delicious (doesn't it?) then we can state it in the description. Sample Laumspur A rare shrub with bright red flowers, its leaves are dry to the touch. The plant grows in small clumps in the wild and can be found growing all over Magnamund. It is well known as a plant with healing properties. The herb can be eaten raw as a meal and it is delicious to taste. The leaves can be distilled into a red-coloured potion or used to create a healing pad. Yes, expect me to proof-read your submission before putting them up and send you a copy back with my edits. If you want you can also submit your entries to the others in the team. For items we may want some more categorization to prepare for the wiki. Perhaps the following might be appropriate categories: Rareness: In this case Common. Item types: Herb and Potion in this case Effects: Healing and Restoration Cost: 4 Gold Cost is not a category but something we might want to state anyway when it is known. Cost is not needed for artifcats and rare items. They are never for sale. You earn them or take them, but you do not buy them. Proof reading is needed less in the wiki. The point of a wiki is that we edit and improve each others works. Whether the faults be formatting, grammatical, factual or something else.

There is a possible contradiction - how can it be a rare shrub yet grow all over Magnamund?
