Kind words. Really, I think, rather too kind - and my lack of a focused plot is a continuing gigantic flaw in my WW posts - but thank you very much! P.S. Samildanach - read Beowuuf's. He even tells a story and everything!

Sure, if he has a few weeks solild, likes crossword puzzles to figure out what I meant with my mis-typing, and then can follow the convulution that is the Maaken plot-crushing together, he can read mine Or he can read yours, apparently he doesn;'t have to keep track of the plot

I have to admit that Tyrenis is a little on the beardy side. I was just looking at his 6th-level character sheet and he's a Sage, a Kai Scion and also has a Brotherhood spell from his Expert level - all that at 6th-level!

Kevin Alderton, Blind Speed Skiing World Record Holder: 100.94 mph.
Kevin Says: "My training schedule is incredibly tough, but Mars® Refuel helps me recover as fast as I ski. And it tastes fantastic!"
Sorry, I've just seen this written on an empty bottle of Mars® Refuel drink in front of me and I have to ask: does that really mean that someone has skied at over 100 mph without being able to see where he was going?
Back on topic - vaguely - Samildanach: forget reading past WW posts and get writing in the present WW! (By the way, I hope you're comfortable with us arguing about what you should do, and that it isn't completely off-putting, making you wish you hadn't said anything in the first place. ;D )

Haha, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Good luck getting me to start writing in the WW though. I maintain that it's completely impenetrable - and now even the Story of Samildanach is gone! I actually went in there earlier, thinking now would an opportune moment to jump in, before the whole thing becomes the mighty behemoth it was before, but I only skimmed two posts or so before giving up. Heh.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Read the tiny, insignifiant, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee story so far... then jsut jump in. With your own story. And ignore anyone else Zipp wants to do a unifying even. so if you check any post of his that doesn'r have the word Eshnar in it in future for a cue on how to join the rest of us. And if at any time you wanna connect with someone, then they can get you up to speed with their own plotline. It's all good! Beowuuf: He wandered around the darklands for a while but got bored and attacked and scared so came back out and is now outside a hut Simey: He tried to avoid doing things while getting dragged around by Armadalus, and is now in a hut Eviltb: He ressurected Darklord Xog. DOOMSTONES RULE! Maerin: He's a sage making his way subtley in a now dictatorship - run lyris, trying to figure out what's what. SPYING RULES! Sarra: She's just an ordinary college girl trying to fit in, when she finds her cool necklace is PURE EVIL and is forced to go on a mission. Falling Phoenix: He's just an ordinary evil turned Kai trying to make his way in the world by cpmpleting an inverse-Lone Wolf quest for glory, when he discovered the cool necklace of PURE EVIL he needs is with some valley college girl - wackiness will no doubt ensure Eshnar: Look, it's all going away, both in the past and present...don't worry. BlackCat: Imprisoned in a castle, though no one wanted to hide his handsome face in a mask, he has escaped to topple the evil Helghast replacing him. DUMAS RULES! That's about it I think... see, it's easy! It's fast! Just poooooooooooooost...poooooooooooooost Do it Do it....

Woah! Nice one, Doomy! We seem to have inadvertantly stumbled upon a truly inspiring story of a triumph pulled from a tragedy. It's a shame the bottle of Mars® Refuel didn't concentrate on that! I've gotta say though, whether you can see or not, what sort of nutter do you have to be to want to ski at over 100 mph!? Apologies for this being possibly the most off-topic post ever, by the way, but Doomy's link is worth a look.

Sorry I decided to skip ahead of the rest of the self-contained Story of Samildanach to the present day. I'm not convinced it fits the tone of the WW, but it's...very me. I can't write any other way.

Third time lucky typing this! Your story style is great, though sad to lose the continued story of.... It's really hard to beak the WW or disrupt the 'tone'. We've had journal entries, weird dreams, first person nebulous stuff (by eviltb when starting) and streams of consciousness from zipp. You've enetered, and long may you continue and spin your story finally!
Oh, except one minor quibble...you mentioned fire. In chapter 6 the helghast order the monks of the blue hand, using the water epidemic created by the NAK but then taken by the Kai which was in turn stolen by the Cener and twisted, crested a water demon from Kalte. The sages of lyris fought it using the flobotinum staff of mcguffin to draw the krankor out of hiding, which played a big part in several chapters 1-4, 5,7, 9 who used the doomstones to chain the lorestones to the sommerswerd to draw all the light and heat out of the world to combat the water demon who was busy taking over eshnar using the beowuuf's mother's brother's doorkeeper's relation to black cat's apprentice's sister's cat's pendant, which was magical and given to Night Hunter. So yeah, that drained all the fire from the world.
See, the WW is not hard to follow ;D

In any case, if you'd been paying enough attention to see through my trowelled-on metaphors, you'd realise there wasn't actually any fire. I did intend to reveal what that bit was about, but it hasn't come out yet. It'd probably be apparent if you had the Story Of to hand. It's more about where he was than anything... Also, apologies if there's any clunkiness. I'm a little out of practice and I find it takes me a little while to get back into writing (plus my ex-girlfriend's mother was shrieking at the top of her lungs throughout, which didn't make concentration easy...)

Phlebotinum, otherwise known as "applied phlebotinum" to those hopelessly in thrall to the treasure trove that is tvtropes.org

Maerin: He's a sage making his way subtley in a now dictatorship - run lyris, trying to figure out what's what. Maerin tries to remember a time when the Kingdom of Lyris was not actually a dictatorship...oh yeah, all those times when the robber-nobles kept both the King AND the Lyrisian people under their hobnailed boots... I only point this out so people don't get confused as I move forward into the next couple posts. Ab-so-lutely.
