Doomy: That was a nasty thing to do to someone you met and who wasn't directly hostile to you. If you fail to kill her with your first shot, you are likely to pay by being hit with powerful magic. She's obviously evil though! Get your retaliation in first, says I.

She's obviously evil though! More like neutral. If I intended for her to be evil she would have attacked on sight. She does notice you are a dwarf and dwarfs are normally good-doers. Killing intruders is not an evil action. Dwarfs do it to anyone who would trespass in Bor without their permission, don't they? (Hmm maybe they would ask questions first but I gather that may depend on the dwarf the trespasser met and just who and what you appear to be. ) Anyway, she was not meant to appear as obviously evil ...

Well, if she's not obviously evil I could change my last actions... with your permission of course.

Now now, just cause Im here, doesnt mean that I will kill the first thing while wading in all guns blazing! Not that I will be wading in, more sneaking up the side when you least expect it.... Or will I

Actions changed. FWIW, in my opinion Dwarfs aren't above attacking evil-doers without warning, and would do "unfair" things like collapse or flood tunnels to neutralise invaders without necessarily challenging them to a straight fight first.

I hope you will forgive me for saying so woofy, but the last round doesn't seem like a smart move.
It looks like you are about to be squashed between the undead and the villains. And putting points into stealth and not perception might not have been the wisest of ideas!
You are engaged by their fighter and unaware of the magic user and the stealther. This could hurt. A lot.

Don't worry Wuufy, (assumes heroic stance) I'LL SAVE YOU! Or loot your horribly bemurdered corpse. Mmmm, speed boots...

Probably the later
To be honest I did not remember you could assign points to perception, and even if I did I wouldn't have. Assumign the villains would still be on the 'flight' mentality shown previously, it would seem a waste of points to go into the room to see them having run away or somehting similar.
Since the end of round is the best time to enter a room so they cannot react, then I assumed stealth to catch them unawares better than running into the middle of the room blindly. I did not think they would hang around the door given their previous mentality, certainly.
It was always the intention to go deeper into the room behind them, so that the zombies attack the warriors first, or at least have an equal chance of that happening - so catch them in the middle, not catch me in the middle. Until I get held or blocked, I still see that as an option to move aroudn the visible fighter. again, assuming I survive two unaware strikes. I as goign to tranfer a heal potion to my off hand from the backpack, but the rapid zombie infestation meant I didn't feel I had two spare activity points, although given the current situation that might have been a better move.

Think of perception as an alternative to stealth - you can spend points to make yourself harder to detect, or make enemies and traps easier to spot.

Yeah, just didn't spot it in the rules even now, and I knew AS had tweaked the rules from the last time Sadly, just spotted that the backpack search only would have taken 1 ability point, not 2 which seemed too much at the time ah well

It's the same as "search", I think.

Can you just say 'search location'? I thought you had to specifically search an item. It's probably academic, eviltb will steal anything interesting while I'm distracted, and anything hostile will attack me

I just noticed that the door I'm trying to get through was open in Round 14 but was described as locked in the last round - an error, or did someone lock it?

Not sure, I started keeping track of everyone at the beginning but didn't keep it up - not sure exactly how close you are. Might be a mis-type, or might be a door was closed, that had a puzzle on it ;(
