Thought I'd blow the cobwebs from this forum and say hi. The Mongoose Episode has nudged me enough to finally register here (and over at PA). I used to be on the Kai Wisdom mailing list 15 years ago, helped with one of the gamebooks on PA and haven't read much LW since.
Finding the Mongoose stuff has awakened my LW interest again. Even managed to get a few mates around to try the new RPG. What I really liked about it was reading more expanded information but wouldn't mind getting into it more, time permitting. Think I'll read the books again too.

Okay, ta. I'll have a look. I've only run one game as a test for some mates. One guy plays a bit of AD&D, one had played a lot of RPG's on PC and the other didn't mind having a go. The only other time I've been a gamemaster was for some Hero Quest games. It would be good to get some ideas from there as I'd like to get some games going. Are these using the recent D10 rules?
Any idea whether the cafepress site still sells TotS gear? I presume it's something that helps run this forum?
Also, do you know if there is much in the way of fan art for the Kai Monastery, old and knew? The only official images I'm aware of is what's contained within the MC and Dawn of the Dragons.

The cafepress store supported the old site (and so Winterhawk) not this site. Proboards runs on ads or money for removing ads. So to support this site indirectly I guess don't run adblockers.
Some of the games have added rules tweaks from the d10 rules, but are all based on them.
Not sure about fan art / further art. Check out some of the foreign websites - especially the french lupe solaire. Gary Chalk did new art for their d20 RPG reprint, so there might be some new art or fan art in or around those forums. Black Cat would know better than I!

Funny thing happened with me finding out on the MP saga coming to a close. I'd started doing a bit of research on some bits and pieces and I was looking for LW fan art and I came across Rich Longmore's blog. I thought that the art style look familiar and then realised he'd worked on the RPG's. That prompted me to check the MP forum and there was the news. Apart from PA and here (and I guess lupe solaire), are there any other LW forums? |

There could well be pockets everywhere. Lupe solaire I believe has been one of the larger ones for many years. Mongoose and PA seems to have gathered most of the english speakers in times past. Sadly, the old TotS was quite the hotspot, nothing has really replaced it since the original corruption  Oh, there are a few adventures mostly nased on the old RPG ruleset over here: lwrpgol.proboards.com/Sadly the original LWRPGoL was connected to the old TotS, so those old games run by people from TotS have now been lost to the ether |
