A wanderer I am from lands far beyond Magnamund, but this wonderful land is somewhere I remember with fondness.. Long live the blessed Kai and the great works of Joe Dever and Gary Chalk! You have taught me many things and my life is all the richer for it I seek the one they call Doomy. I was told he was the one who would know what I am to do once I arrived here. I hope he can refill my wineskin, all I have left to drink is water

Brewin! Your coming has been prophesised. Welcome to the Tower of the Sun. There aren't many of us left here these days, just the diehards. Have a keg of Bugman's Best. We dwarves don't touch that "water" stuff. As for what to do now you're here. Hmm... You could pimp that gamebook thing you're always on about, or even join in the ongoing fanfic a couple of people have kept alive for years. Or just hang around and spout nonsense, that's what I like to do. ;D Everyone, an introduction would be in order. Brewin here is the author of that Tinman Games e-gamebook I was posting about, and a major rival of mine on the virtual Blood Bowl field. Some time ago I suggested he sign up here as we all share certain minority interests, like goat punting and obscure Victorian parlour games such as "Oops, Mr. Weasel". He's Australian, but nobody's perfect. He's also fond of rodents.

Lol, well with a build up like that what more can one say except - welcome to the forums! Indeed, feel free to tell us more of the gamebook world in the circle of light (that's sort of the RPG place) and the hall of solaris is our general place. If you ever fancy putting people throug htheir paces one on one in any form of crerative competntion, there is always the fields of battle, and the west watch is our shared collaborative and improvised story forum where a few of us still spin a tale of our avatar's aventures if they were a part of Magnamund! Or you can just tell us more about the rodents

You know, Beo, another of those decathlon-type competitions would be a lot of fun. Hint, hint. And I reckon I'd stand a chance of a top three finish for once. As for avatars, I suspect Brewin might enjoy being a Noodnic. Don't think the TotS has ever had a Noodnic faction. ;D

Cheers guys! But let me clarify one thing before anyone gets too carried away... I'm not the messiah but yes I am a very naughty boy As for dwindling numbers, I'd be happy to help promote the site if you'd like me to do that... Gamebooks are making a come back you know Why even Gary Chalk is writing gamebooks again, he's doing something called Gun Dogs for those Tin Man Games guys Bugmans isn't bad, but I always preferred Stay Thirsty "Die Bloody Elf" Lager myself haha... Still I'm parched and beggars can't be choosers and all that, so I'll have whatever you're having Doomy Pimping the gamebook thing is easy haha, but otherwise I need to take a bit more time and effort for me to understand how I can contribute here... I'm happy to help how I can, even if I'm not around all that much And yes I'm quite handy at spouting nonsense too Guilty as charged: I am Australian and like the rats style; they're true survivors and I developed quite a fondness for them on the convict ship over from the motherland haha... They're also not bad as kebabs on the BBQ Noodnic rings a bell... Were they those little guys in funny tiny armour that helped me through that tunnel in Fire on the Water I think it was? Yeah I could morph into one of them, just imagine me talking in a really tiny squeaky voice haha Okay I better say something pseudo sensible or otherwise you'll think I'm a complete nutter (and Doomy will be chastised for inviting me on here): It's nice to be here and I'll take a look around and in the appropriate place tell you a bit about some of the things I do / am involved with, that I think is of interest to gamebook readers here... Fields of battle has a nice ring to it, I'll look into that, and if I manage to get around to it even write of my Magnamund travels in the west watch, and anything else feel free to invite me, and I'll *try* to take part... I have to say that time is ever my enemy though (in fact I've been saying that a lot recently) so it's best if I lower expectations of my level of contributions first right? Speaking of which, I picked a bad time probably to start yakking on these forums since I'm in the middle of a number of pressing things at the moment; particularly a book launch I'm doing about twelve hours from now, before which I have to prepare some more stuff and probably sleep at some point too... So I better get onto that, and come back soon... But fear not! (or maybe that's fear!) I shall return with many a tale, and even a tail haha, and look forward to having some fun here

Welcome, Brewin! As and when you get chance, take a look around. It sounds as though you are something of a gamebook expert, so you may have some insightful comments that could be added to the various discussions that are going - or in most cases, have gone - on. As for Noodnics, they're giant rats. And they're a friendly-seeming race that are actually a bunch of criminals. I can't see why Doomy would suggest them as an avatar at all. I mean, you're Australian - what's the connection there....? *runs*

Welcome to the forums. They are a little slow these days, unfortunately, even for a Noodnic.

Weeell, I dunno about the "expert" label, that might create expectations haha, but I do a lot stuff to do with them, and have always been a big fan (I have a blog on my site www.thebrewin.com that's all about that) ... So I hope I'll have some interesting comments to share here Noodnics sound like they're just misunderstood haha, I'm sure they're alright... Can't recall meeting them before though to be honest, not that I've explored much of what Magnamund has to offer...

Oh, so sorry I missed this new arrival! Welcome to the Tower of the Sun, good Brewin, you're free to rest here from your wanderings.
The Tower is not the crucible of activity it used to be but maybe with new members new initiatives will spring up!
Aaah, Blood Bowl, such fond memories! I'm organizing a map campaign of Warhammer Fantasy myself in these days.
However, have a nice and long stay here in our company!
