Beowuuf (Round 28 to 32)
You set out to complete the Knight's plan.
The two men turns out to have no knowledge in military and very little knowledge in handling larger swords.
A few minutes afterwards they both return to the Chapel to nurse their bruises, and by then the Knight has already briefed you and the Priest about the situation.
While you dealt with the adventurers two new groups of two persons have arrived. The first two appear to be Guildsmen while the second group appear to be adventurers.
The priest asks you to interview them to replace the two "mercenaries".
Which group do you want to interview first?

Doomy (Round 13).
You have just gone about 10 metres into the tunnel when you detect a circular plate on the road. It looks like it could be lifted up and opened.
Investigate or continue?

Beowuuf will ask if Sylvia wants to interview the guildsmen, while Beowuuf will happily interview the adventurers. If that's acceptable, I'll get a list of questions gathered to use on the adventurers.

The Siyense Knight hears your proposal and will interview the Guildsmen with Sylvia, which is also accepted by Sylvia.
So prepare a list. These are wandering adventurers. Likely not from the Stornlands but from some other region on Magnamund.

Seren curses under his breath at the woman's warning, but the two guards near the door will soon be fending off six people, so she is probably right to focus on this one first and take him down quickly. Responding to his eager fellow's notice of the stools, Seren darts over to pick one up and then moves forward to one side of the others to try and attack the rushing robed man at best advantage.
Seren will try to be on the opposite side of Melor to the woman if that's practical. He will stay his attack until the woman has tried to trip the guard. If she fails he will attack as part of the group, but not alone.

When Melor sees the woman's attempt, he bite his teeth and grab the stool's legs and prepared to swing it with all his might.
Change my throw to a melee attack.

Seren and Melor (Round 28)
SSSS NXXNNNENN NXXAAXCXN NNXAAPRCN NNXAAXXXN NNXXXXXXN NNXPXTXXN NNPRSXXXN NNXXXTXXN NNXXXXXXN (Room continues further in this direction but details are lost in the darkness.)
C = Combatting Soldiers. R = Robed men. T = Table N = Wall X = Floor P = Prisoner(s) S = Seren and Melor.
The Trip attack fails. Not so much because it was badly timed, but because the robed man notices Seren moving towards the table and the stools and he stops running just two steps short of the woman. He hurriedly retreats a few steps and prepare to defend himself as he's assailed from all quarters.
The two prisoners reach the robed men fighting the soldiers this round and makes one first attack.
Combat Result aftert three rounds: C1: 8 damage C2: Not hit C3: 12 damage C4: Not hit P1: Not hit P2: Not hit
R1: (Hit 4 times; no damage; 3 Shields gone) R2: (Hit 3 times; 5 damage; 2 Shields gone)
Combat result 2: Dwarf: Not hit Kloon: Not hit Female: Not hit Melor: Not hit. Stool destroyed. (Easy to grab another if you so want though.) Seren: Not hit
R3: Not hit. (All captives rolled very low on attack rolls, thus no damage.)
This robed man is preparing a Shield and will start counter attacking Seren next round.

Examine the plate, ensure it is not a trap, and open it.
If it turns out to be a manhole I'll simply replace the plate and continue down the tunnel. Magnamund sewers are bloody dangerous.

Is it possible that Melor grabbed the shield? Not really to pull it away but just to keep it in place and make it hard to use?

Is it possible that Melor grabbed the shield? Not really to pull it away but just to keep it in place and make it hard to use? It's going to be a magical shield that deflects blows. I guess running into it is one way to reduce its strength although this method will be at a HP cost to yourself. Like 1-2 Hp per run into it. The shield is not grabbable. It needs to be countered or weakened till it goes away. Also, all have one more attack before it is fully formed.

Doomy (Round 14).
Lifting the plate you discover a short ladder down into a store room.
Within this room is all the materials and tools needed for maintaining the road and the tunnel itself.
There is also a barrel marked with a sign with the text: "Lantern Fuel".
Cimb down and look closer at what is there, or put back the plate and continue?

I think I have enough fuel, so I'll replace the cover and continue along the tunnel.

Doomy (Round 15-17).
A little later you meet a tunnel worker who is refilling the lanterns with fuel.
Then you spend a few minutes walking until you meet someone else coming the other way.
From the emblems and the cut of his gray tunic it appears this person is a member of the Order of the Kai.
Not exactly someone you'd expect to be able to hire, though.
You want to stop and engage the Kai in conversation ?

Absolutely!
"Greetings Kai Lord, what brings you to this place?" asks the dwarf politely.

Melor grabbed the nearest stool again and threw it at the lone robed man.
Melor threw again.
