After combat and healing: C1: 15 damage. Shortsword C2: 1 damage. Dagger C3: 11 damage C4: Not hit
Groups moves further into the room this turn.
Male 1: 1 damage. Staff Sandals
Male 2: 2 damage. Staff Sandals
Dwarf: 4 damage. Leather Baton Sandals Backpack
Kloon: 1 damage Staff. 2 Shield Charges Sandals ( Moves to cupboard. )
Female: 1 Dagger. 1 Satchel 1 Leather Armour 1 Sandals
Melor: 1 Leather Baton (Weapon) 1 Backpack. (with 1 Robe.) 1 Satchel with 1 Laumspur Leaf. Pouch with 24 Lune. 1 Sling
Seren: 3 damage. 1 Leather baton (Weapon) 1 Leather Armour 1 Backpack 1 Satchel 1 Sandals
Inside cupboard: - Leather Armours ( To try one you need to spend a 3 activity assessing if any will fit you, and if this assessment is positive then it is 1 round to try and don it.) - Sandals (3 activity to attempt to find one of your size. Another 2 to don it. You are walking on naked feet right now.) - Leather sticks (Could be used as batons or simple maces.)
- There are several more items of leather which may potentially be useful. Specify what you are looking for and you may find it somewhere on the shelves. (Searching for something in particular is 3 activity.)
There is no answer to Melor's questions. However, he finds the answer himself. Further into the room is an open fireplace with place for a Chimney. He swiftly departs for it and looks more closely at it.
(NOTE: You did not have time to get any footwear from the cupboard.)
Close to the chimney you find: 2 Lanterns 5 Lantern Oil 3 Fireforks 1 Tinderbox 1 Hatchet (Small axe)
The fireplace also has all things which would normally remain after a cold fire. This includes a supply of wood and a small axe for splitting the wood.
The soldiers and Seren also converge at the fireplace. The soldiers are not all too talkative. All they say is:
"Get ready to defend yourself."
"Get hold of some blunt weapons if you can."
The reason for this soon looms into view in the form of undead enemies. First a skeleton appears and then soon afterwards a zombie looms into view.

Melor's face were flushed of all colours, the sight of the undead was certainly not something he had prepared for but his mind continued to slog and work. He grabbed the nearest items in response.
Melor would grab all the lantern oil (what type of containers are they in? Glass? how big? Can I sling them?), a lantern, the tinderbox and the hatchet.

Beowuuf will ask for a few details about their trip. Once again, jusst for information incase it is useful later, not because he disbelievves their story.
Beowuuf will definitely ask for details of the dark influences affecting the elementals, as all the ones he enccountered were still peaceful and just.
Beowuuf will nod at the end, thank the two, and go find the knight or the priest and confirm they have two more capable helpers. He will also be on the lookout for Sylvia, to find out how her interviewing went, and to find out what information she discovered.

A grim smile turns up the corners of Seren's mouth at the sight of the familiar enemy; the undead are an oft-encountered inconvenience in his line of work and have been responsible for a higher proportion of the scars he bears than he cares to think about. Noticing that his fellow prisoner has found something by the fireplace, he moves up next to him and looks for any kind of weapon that might usefully augment his rather woeful arsenal of a leather baton.
I'll have to rely on Seren's knowledge of what works best against undead rather than my own, but he'll be looking for whatever he thinks will be most effective amongst the equipment by the fireplace. If the small woodaxe is separate from the hatchet that Melor has, Seren will take it if it looks useful. Once he's chosen what he thinks is best, he will advise Melor if he thinks he could be equipping himself more effectively.

If Seren is near: "Oh good, One is not too fond of coming close to the foul creatures. Need a hatchet?"
Melor offers the hatchet.

The two basic rules for undead fighting are:
Do not hit Skeletons with pointed/thrusted weapon (arrows, daggers, rapiers and the like)
Do not hit Zombies with edged/cutting weapons (swords, axes, and the like)

Close to the chimney is: 1 Lantern 3 Fireforks
The fireplace also has all things which would normally remain after a cold fire. This includes a supply of wood and a small axe for splitting the wood.
Melor: The flasks for Lantern Oil are not made to be thrown. They contain a slow burning oil in a non-fragile bottle which will not easily shatter. And if it does shatter, there is no extra damage to be expected. You might as well throw loose wood-sticks across the room.
Using the lantern Oil to get some light would be an illuminating idea though.
Seren: You rush forward hatchet in hand towards the nearest skeleton but you do not get to land a blow.
Before you can land a blow the skeleton before you suddenly collapses into a pile of bones.
Moments later the zombie which loomed into view earlier gives up a loud moan and collapses in a heap of flesh before the soldiers.
However, several more undead skeletons and zombies approaches now.
The soldiers who were poised to hit the zombie reacts surprised to this turn of events and stare at the dead heap of flesh which was once the zombie.
The other captives either look fearful or surprised by this turn of events.

Beowuuf (Round 38)
One of the free-roaming elementals were finishing of adventurers who had got stuck in a mud-pit, crushing their skulls. There seemed to be some dark presence about that one elemental.
It was a lone example since other elementals were happy enough to escort wounded adventurers outside to the exit or into the Lore Hall of Water which is dedicated to the Healing Arts.
Return to the Knight and report? (what do you say in that case)

Nope, I'm happy for us to simply continue on our way as before, with me putting max points into searching for hidden mechanisms such as secret doors.

Has Seren come across anything like this before? Does it suggest they're being directly manipulated by someone rather than just under some general, long-lasting necromancy?
If it will mean exposing himself to attack by any more than one creature, Seren will not move forward to attack - he will either move to join the soldiers or retreat to some cover to avoid getting surrounded.

Beowuuf will pretty much report the intervierw as it happened, and give his recommendation they should be allowed to go forward. If they are disguised Cener, it seems beyond his ability to detect!

"Who did that? Did some one just kill that zombie?" Melor said. With that said, Melor began to get ready for action.
Can I pick up one of the firefork, douse it with Lantern oil and use that as a weapon? Is the handle wood?

Can I pick up one of the firefork, douse it with Lantern oil and use that as a weapon? Is the handle wood? The fireforks are cold. The fireplace has not been lit for some time. So you can certainly pick one along if you want that. The handle is in metal. Has Seren come across anything like this before? Does it suggest they're being directly manipulated by someone rather than just under some general, long-lasting necromancy? Seren would be inclined to belive that they were killed, and the way the were killed probably involved some form of natural magic which took away the necromantic force that gave them undeath. Probably someone quite skilled in dispatching Undead in this way. There is no more immediate responses to what you say or do. The soldiers and the other prisoners seems to focus their attentions on the next wave of undead that is approaching.

Doomy (Round 38 and 40)
You continue along the tunnel. After a while you come upon the corpse of a soldier. Going by the symbols on his shield this was once a soldier from Varetta.
You want to take a closer look at this corpse?
