Beowuuf: How are you tring to address the elemental?
As in exactly which language are you using?
Doomy: Several seconds pass and there is no further response. The two men are still watching the mercenaries more than you.
You get the distinct impression that your query has already been answered in full.
eviltb: There is no chance for sneak attacking this round. The targets are moving away from you and it will take time to loot. You will barely be able to close with them, much less attack them this round.
You also have little idea if they will be aware or not. They simply are too far away at the moment for you to be confident in successfully stealthing them.
Also be aware that they could be mostly everything. Even fellow NAKs in disguise and you would not know at this distance.

As close to Shianti as I can get - probably an upper class Dessi /Elder Magi language

Jangle some coins at the rogues (if that's what they are) to see if that makes them a bit more talkative. I'll try offering 8 Lune -one GP each.

ok fair enough, I'll loot the giak corpse and get as close as possible to group 1 so I can identify. Same spread stealth/search moving.

Doomy:
The two are not really interested. They point to the two mercenaries instead.
Probably a tell-tale sign that they hope to learn from their successes or failures themselves.
Beowuuf:
You manage to attract the attention of the 6 feet tall and rather massive eart elemental. It approaches you and watches you with some interest.
eviltb:
Will give a loot report and stealth/search report tomorrow.

Okay, I'll wait and see what the heck Beo is trying to achieve with the earth elemental, then we can go talk to the mercenaries.

eviltb (Round 2)
On the Giak you find:
Quarterstaff (d5, fast, 2 hands) (Bludgeoning damage) (Nearly broken) 12 Kika in the Belt pouch
After looting the corpse you advance along the wall.
You've covered some distance when you discover a very well-hidden secret door in the wall!
Unluckily for you the area just before the wall has been trapped and you fail to notice this trap and instead trigger it and find yourself splashed with Acid.
Your quick reactions saves you from a more serious injury but you still take 2 damage from the Acid. You manage to stifle your pain and do not scream out but the adventurers ahead do turn their heads and look in your direction.
You may remain unnoticed although it is difficult to tell since they are still quite a bit ahead of you.
So far you've spent 7 activity and your 2 perception points. Remains 4 activity.
You can either use this activity to study the door for traps and possibly open it, or you can continue your plan and moving towards the adventurers.

Doomy:
The mercenaries are studying the area around the blue shimmering light. Clearly it seems like they are trying to retrieve something from the chunk of black marble that is below the light.

Oh, and eviltb the trap is recharging itself.
Whatever you do you need to get out of this area fairly quickly.

Watch the mercenaries, but stay where I am for now. I want Wuuf's eye on these rogues when time comes to turn my back on them. Besides, I want to listen in on the chat with the elemental.

Why does everyone assume that I had a plan here?
Beowuuf is a little disconcerted that he has the silent attention of the elemental. "Elemental, do you speak?" asks Beowuuf again, trying to keep his pronounciation as perfect as possible, and more importantly ensuring the proper tone of respect for such an impressive creature.
Could Beowuuf spot what the merceneries are trying to do easily?

Why does everyone assume that I had a plan here? I don't. I'm calling your bluff.
