Hi. I've been pestering the Project Aon boards for a few months, but I've dragged my feet about making the trip over to TotS. There's really no reason for that; it just sort of came about that way.
But here I am, now. So, a few words of introduction: -
My first gamebook was a Choose Your Own Adventure book (remember those?) called 'The Magic Carpet'. I discovered LW around the age of... 10, maybe? I received Flight From the Dark and The Jungle of Horrors as Christmas presents one year. Fandom, thereafter.
I'm from the north-west of England, originally, though I've lived in Australia and Portugal for a while, too. I moved to France, to Paris, about four years ago.
Bittermind's hobbies: -
I have little to add in the 'cool achievements' column. I write. I had a short story published in an actual *gasp* book last month, but there's an excellent chance you haven't read it.
Ooh, I've shared a pizza with Joe Dever. That's fairly cool. When he was at the 'Monde du Jeu' trade fair in Paris a few weeks back, I was his interpreter for much of the time. The guy's a real professional. Even when he wasn't shaking hands and signing books, he was running round taking photos of the various wargames, pointing out where we should put signs for our stand, giving tips for next year's stand, picking out spots for photo ops, etc. Knows his stuff, that fella.
So, that's me. Howdy.

Bittermind's hobbies: -
- Drinking far too much Diet Coke.
- Not sleeping enough.
- Defending Highlander: The Series against naysayers.
- Becoming less and less interested in music.
- Failing to win auctions on eBay.
- Waking up far too early.
- Being prematurely bald.
- Refusing to eat any fruit that has a sticker on it.
- Patiently explaining to people, again, that if I have more than one glass of beer I won't sleep properly.
- Getting panicky at the mere mention of home insurance, mobile phone tariffs, or internet service providers.
- Napping, whenever possible.
- Reading, whenever possible.
- Drinking far too much coffee.
- Buying decaffeinated Diet Coke and coffee.
- Jogging past shooting locations for Highlander: The Series, and feeling vaguely privileged.
- Failing to jog as much as I should.
- Wearing woolly hats in winter.
