The people of Librogameland were able to get some interesting information from Joe Dever himself:
-The Storms of Chai should be published in March 2010 -The action will be set in MS 5105, 55 years after the end of the First Order. -Ksatria did die because of the global financial crisis. -The video game is not dead however: according to Joe, a Japanese company took over the project and the development continues in Japan.
In other news, the people of Le Grimoire (French editor of the LW RPG) will host Joe Dever at the Monde du Jeu in Paris, September 19th and 20th. Dever will sign books and will answer questions from the public.

Awesome news! So if Mongoose is planning a release for March 2010, should we expect it by, say, December? I kid, I kid!

Mega-deal subscribers would probably get it this year if the time table holds, since there is a clause about getting it a couple of months before it becomes generally available.

Oh, but maybe Joe was talking about the Mega-Deal suscribers getting it in March 2010? It is not clear in the article if he meant the Mega-Deal suscribers or the general public.
EDIT: BTW, Le Grimoire claims that Joe will have both copies of book 11 and 12 with him in Paris. Does it mean that we might see book 12 earlier than what it is currently planned?

And now all the weapons and shoulderpads will look even more oversized, the characters will suffer from major big eyes small mouth manga faces and it will never get released outside Japan .

Something generally viewed as very Japanese was inspired by America. [/pedantry] Aaaanyway... Taking the LW video game to Japan isn't necessarily a bad thing; it was Japan that made video games the success they are today, after all.

And the massacre of the Kai happened when the Kai Grand Master was embarrassed by Zagarna's dirtying the floor of the Monastery, so he and most of the other Kai committed harakiri.... Just an outake...no offence to the Land of the Rising Sun though...

As long as the Japanese studio knows the original work, I have no problem with them taking it over. After all, there's way more good games that come out of the land of the Rising Sun than there are good games that come out of the land of the glorious cheeseburger.
Sadly, some of the BEST games come out of Singapore and that area, but very few games...
