Pascal Quidault, the artist that will make the cover artwork for the remaining books of the LW series to be published by Mongoose, announced that he will be taking over as the interior illustrator of the books as well. Nate Furman, who made the artwork for the mini-adventures since the beginning of the republication of the series, is reportedly leaving the project. He was supposed to make the interior artwork for the remaining books of the series.
It is currently unknown when Quidault's illustrations will appear the series. Furman repeated a few times on his blog (which was unexpectedly closed last week) that he was working on interior artwork for book 13. If that is the case, then it is very likely that book 14 will see Quidault make his debut as the interior artist.
Also, Furman made the cover artwork of book 29. Will this change anything since he is leaving?

I guess the best time to switch is now before the other artist starts.
Where did you find this information ? Blogs ? Other forums ? There doesn't seem to be any information on Mongoose forums at least.
Since the release date of book 13 was also moved forwards at the start of this month, I'd not be surprised if Furman's illustrations will not appear there.

He first announced it on his blog and then on the forum of Le Grimoire, the French editor of the LWRPG.

I think it makes sense to have the cover illustrator and the interior illustrator be the same person. Gary Chalk used to do both. I don't know why anyone would use two different people.

Update: it seems that Quidault will do everything starting with book 13: cover artwork, interior illustrations and mini-adventure illustrations.
