I put this into the news section, but for now, I still consider this as a rumor.I've heard rumors about this, and a search on the web brought me to this blog from someone that used to work at Ksatria Gameworks: So according to this dude, Ksatria Gameworks is now dead because of a lack of funding. And with this dead, our hope to see the LW video game (unless Ubisoft, Electronic Arts or any other big video game developper decides to buy the rights and make the game).

Bugger. Still, considering the amount of time that has elapsed since the last official update, I can't say I'm hugely surprised.

Now that is a kick in the tits! Would have been interesting to see what publisher, if any, had put the greens up for this.

Hmmm... I wonder what would happen to all the game assets and the engine created? Is the license going to be transfered to another company?
I really think Joe Dever should permit some indie game developers to use his characters and come up with something, rather than plan for a triple-A title and bomb because of the scale they were trying to hit.
Sigh... I wish the old MMO would now be revived! *wishful thinking*

What a pity! But I'm not surprised... Too many years just speaking about that...

Hi, I asked Andrew, the Marketing/Project co-ordinator at Ksatria, Here is his reply:
~~~~~
Hi Markus,
Yes the fans were right, ksatria has stop operation since Feb 09 due to the finaical crisis. But there are some other interesting development taking place which is not for me to release the info yet. Hope it will become official news before end of this year.
Rgds, andrew ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My own thoughts I hope whatever new is coming is really practical and solid stuff.
Hmmm... Someone might be negociating to buy Ksatria and/or the licence for the LW game (probably along with all that has been made for the game since the beginning).
Well I can't say that I'm surprised. The overwhelming silence was fairly obvious. However, if someone does pick it up that'd be great. Ideally a new backer would tone down the seriously oversized weapons too. Or at least not make them any bigger than they already are.
Not a huge shock. I was surprised the project got underway at all, Lone Wolf being a fairly niche interest. (Yeah, so I'm a couple of weeks late. What's your point? )
Not a huge shock. I was surprised the project got underway at all, Lone Wolf being a fairly niche interest. Well, one would hope they were being sensible and ignoring all us already-fans completely, from a presentation point of view at least. Present it as a brand new story/world/concept in the video game looking for a brand new playership and it's still a very strong idea, which just may find a new home. With a LOT of luck. If they ever were refering to the project as the video game of the famous gamebook series then they were stupid to do so and it was probably doomed from the outset.
Too bad, I was awaiting this game so much. As BC said, they might look for someone else to buy the rights.
If it was doing something that stood out, maybe it could have worked. In fairness, what we heard/read about the use of Sixth Sense was pretty interesting.
Ha that's hilarious. I don't know if you guys remember or not but like 3 years ago a console version of LW was coming out which was discontinued when that publisher( forget exactly what his connection to the game was) found out that a LW MMORPG was being developed.
Now this happens. Hilarious, so we have gotten the short end of the stick twice now. The first game that was totally a go gets discontinued for a game that eventually stops being developed.
Here's hoping the news is someone is buying and producing this property.
