Congratulations to the Scotland squad, who have returned home to a heroes' welcome after whupping those pesky Canadians.

Wow, nice to win at something for a change! Go us!
Used to briefly do curling in secondary school, it was fun though I had no real skill at it!

I'm not sure why Scots are good at curling. We tend to excel at sports you can play in pubs, such as snooker, or sports where you just walk around a bit then go to the pub, such as golf.

Lol, very insightful!
In curling while it's not your turn you can just stand around and drink perhaps?

Of course, Scots invented curling. Which stands to reason. You'd have to be pretty drunk to decide your frozen village pond could do with a good scrub.

Of the two games partaken of on a frozen bit of water, I know which one I find more exciting. But congratulations to Scotland for beating Canada at the other one!

We invented hockey, the Scots invented curling. We might have lost the curling championship but we are still ranked first in the world in both sports. ;D

You lot are hosting the Winter Olympics next year too, that means a rematch for the gold! Besides, the Scots invented Canada, so we can claim ice hockey too.
