Request for permission to pubblish a translation

Hello! I'm the coordinator of the italian site about gamebooks called Librogame's Land! I'm happy to be here!

I write to ask to the authors the permission to pubblish a translation in Italian of the fan fiction called Blue Robes Rising, written by member of this community...

We could pubblish it in our series of free downloadable gamebooks, called "Librinostri" ("Our Books"), jast as we've done with the first legendary fight written by Zipp.

What do you think about it? I hope it will be the start of a fruitful cooperation!

As the originator of the thread that created it, and contributor, I have no problem with the concerpt of it being translated for download, nor in my parts being translated

I think the other contributors are all still around to ask - they are named at the start of the document. Zipp is one of them, who created the pdf!

I did the final edit. I'm fine with it being translated.

It would be difficult to get permission from everyone, though. I'm sure they wouldn't mind, it's just they aren't around ^_^

If you get permission from both Black Cat and Ghost Bear, though, I think it should be fine. They've always kind've been the legal representatives of TOTS.

Of course, being one of the "writers" of this story (I have totally forgotten about it!), I give my permission to translate it.

It will be hard to get everyone's permission though as some of these writers are not visiting the site anymore (I'm thinking of Sweaty Gourgaz), just as Zipp pointed out. But yes, I thinking they would agree to see it beeing translated.

Now, as for the "legal" stuff, I think the only thing needed would be to put the name of the original authors and be clear that the document has been created by Tower of the Sun. But I don't think that should be a problem for you.

So yeah, I reckon give those around a bit of a chance, definitely ask GB and BC, then you are good to go!

I might even have the...dare I say it...unedited version of section 41 somewhere! Dun-dun dun!

I'm having a mind blank here... I blame this on me getting no sleep last night (literally) and having to be in work for 8.30 this morning. I don't remember what Blue Robes Rising is right now. But I'm always in favour of translations. The more people who're able to enjoy and participate in the community, the better.

Remember the first gamebook thread I created on tots, with the party and the dwarfs and the lack of bor brew and so on? It's the name Zipp gave to it when it was compiled as a pdf.

It took me a moment to get it, but then I remembered the theme of the story ^_^

It's really enjoying... But we've written a series of gamebooks called Squilibrio ("Imbalance") that are quite comparable to Blue Robes Rising and should be translated too... ;D
