Might be an idea for you all to head to Jade Archieplago this week-end for "improved drops".
I guess this means that the odds for finding wood, ore and rare finds is upped a bit. (Normally 5% per AP spend and 7.5% for Explorers.)
I'd expect some ship sinkers to head there as well.
I've done some fairly good Auction transactions today.
Obtained a Stealth Sheath for 277k EGV=325k) and an Imperial Standard Armour for 90k EGV=179k). They tend to go for more than this so I will likely go plus when selling them again, since I got them under 90% of EGV. (Which is the max price a seller gets for a COMMON item.)
Sold some surplus items and got fairly well paid for them as well.
I've put two of my Rares for sale. Aerial Mines (60k starting price; level 35) and Alloy Plating (180k starting price; level 40). Both have EGV's of about double that price.

This Ivan Yap with his ship Laputa has been hitting my ship out of the sky a couple of times. I tried to catch him yesterday only to find that with all my speed gear I could not close in to melee range with my ship in time. So I put on turtle mode and waited for him to attack again. He's 5 levels higher than me, probably about 50 now. (Might be in your range Reinhardt / Maerin / Frank.) At least I got some revenge. Unfortunately he had enough AP to salvage his ship and sink me again before I logged in. Even so I believe I got more XP than him in total. battlestations.mobileweapon.net/history_view.php?hid=80477

Looks like he got smacked down again by the time I got on this morning, but I'll keep an eye on him.

Congrats eviltb.
Myself I currently have... 1,089,346 Gold 124 Wood (My Cargo Dirigible costed 500 Wood) 164 Ore 4 Plasma Rocks.
In case anyone wonders how my auctions went:
110544 gold has been credited to you for the auction of Aerial Mines. EGV = 126 350
374640 gold has been credited to you for the auction of Alloy Plating. EGV = 374,640 gold
The EGV value fluctuates with the Resource Market Prices on Wood, Ore and Plasma Rocks. They were about 15-20% higher yesterday. As you can see I got the maximum price for the Alloy Plating, and 90% of the maximum price for the Aerial Mines.
All in all I think I made a good profit. I paid perhaps 200.000-250.000 Gold for the Alloy plating, and the Aerial Mines was a small gain of about 4k Gold:
You have won the bid for Aerial Mines (Cost: 106474 gold).

You all got 100 EP as a compensation for the lagging on Sunday, make sure you spend it before you get 360 which is the maximum you can accumulate. The limit seems to have been raised to 500AP, because that's how many I had when I came back. Took a while to spend all those, but I managed.

Yes, limit was raised to 500 when the extra crew started to give extra AP. Around Wednesday or Thursday.
Exploring in Jade Archipelago started out with finding wood, wood, wood, and more wood. Spent some 350 AP with no valuable finds. However, luck changed this evening when I've found 2 plasma rocks in rapid succession spending only perhaps 50 AP between them.
This ups my plasma rock total to 6.
Anyone found any extra drops (rare finds or plasma rocks) in Jade Archipelago this weekend?
Myself I currently have... 1,089,346 Gold -> 881,260 124 Wood -> 325 164 Ore -> 183 4 Plasma Rocks. -> 6
Oh, and I bought a Hand of Justice for about 479.862 Gold. I believe that will give some profit as well when I'm ready to sell it.

It seems hiring people on your friends list now works, as I was able to hire all of you! Hope that doesn't cause any problems at your end...

We should probably have split the hiring as I suggested earlier. But we do need 3 to get the first AP/hour bonus.
You have in any case no need for more than 7 of us, as seven is the limit for+2 AP/hour.
Regardless, I will spam invites until after my vacation. Perhaps getting some of the non-players to pick up the game.

I have whittled my crew back down to three people since there was no point in having six.

I have whittled my crew back down to three people since there was no point in having six. Right. If you kept me aboard I request to be assigned the pilot position. I am the explorer after all. I know all about navigating and piloting.

Yep, you were already the pilot, AS. I kept the three highest-level people on my friends list because they cost more to hire. Maerin is first mate (because he's the highest level) and Evil TB is the gunner because he loves "big ass cannons" although I prefer more conventional ammunition.

Whhooooo big ass cannons!!!!!!!
Agree with AS, mostly I got wood, wood and more wood on the drops. Picked up maybe 5 ore. I tried mining just know, just for the kick. Spent 100k on a regular mining team with 50AP (the max). Picked up 20 ore and 1 plasma rock. Value for money? I guess, given the amount plasma rocks and ore go for on the market.
I hired Doomy (gunner), Orson (pilot) and Roark (quartermaster, think that suits his type) on my crew. Welcome aboard lads!!
