Well, we had one of these before, so I reckon we should have one again. In this thread, we'll detail the significant people in Magnamund as of the current time of the West Watch. So in here, put the heads of various orders, the rulers of any countries you write about, etc etc.
The current year is MS5103 I believe.
I'll make a couple of examples to start us off(I'm in work now, so I can't write quite as much as I'd like)
The Order of the Kai
Lone Wolf vanished from Magnamund in the year MS5100. He appointed Winterhawk as his successor. Following a similar dissapearance by Winterhawk, Supreme Master Black Cat is the current Grand Master of the New Order of the Kai.
Sommerlund
Following the death of King Ulnar, his daughter Immelda ruled for a time, before marrying a prince of Durenor. The prince took the name Kian II, and is now the King of Sommerlund.

Excellent work GB. Can we use this as a quick reference guide as to who/where people are rather than an archive like the Tome of the New Order? The Tome can still be used for more detailed descriptions, but we can summarise our current situation here. For example -
eviltb - Nad-Adez Konkor Grand Huntsmaster[/u]
Location: Eshnar
eviltb is Kai Hunter born from the Darklands. Although much of his own past is unknown to him, he received some insight into his creation and purpose from his master Dark Sonar, who resides in Kaag. He is now a full Servant of Naar, fulfilling whatever duty the Dark Lord passes to him. Currently, his is "serving" the recently resurrected Darklord Xog who is residing in the fortress-mountain of V'Ka. eviltb was last seen entering the power shield surrounding Eshnar.
I'll sticky this so more can read/add to it.

That's not the intention of this thread. The intention is to detail who the 'Major Players' are.
Do we really need 'where we are' threads? Wouldn't this be covered in the story itself? If you reckon we do, a new thread would be the best place for it I think.

I'm not sure what do you mean? What sort of characters would go here? Rulers and Class Leaders basically I think.
Or if you mean what would I write about myself, I'd probably do a similar summary to yours, but I'd also point people in the direction of my 'Story Of...' thread.

Ok I think I get it. So for the Order of the Kai, you'd have a brief "whats up" of the Kai Order as it is, then maybe a list of names and rankings?

The Tome of the New Order thread was for new enclyclopaedia entries, the hope being one day if tots came back we could repopulate and expand that database

Well, I realise the state of the world is buried under the initial post so not obvious! And they are by no means correct nor fully fleshed out yet. We can either use this thread or that thread to get all the ncessary details done. Also, the actual links in each block of text just do not pop out at all - i might artificially bold/underline them Also, I'd like to demote a few of the sticky threads. The archives doens't need to be front and centre if it is linked to via stickied threads, does it? Also, I don't recall us actually needing to sticky the chapter thread, since it always floats to the top when people post to it? It's a shame we can't promote more members to sitestaff status atm, then more people could edit these threads!  |

I always liked to keep the current Chapter and the OOC thread stickied.
This thread can be deleted, and you're right that we don't need to sticky the Archive too.
