Those horsemen sure look like Japanese samurai...I wonder if these are the warriors of Chai or Bhanar or Lissan?

The Storms of Chai?
Sounds like a storm in a tea cup to me....
Quite a nice cover.

They do look more like Bhanarians. Chai soldiers are more Chinese-like. Like I told FrostHawk, I'm kinda jealous of Librogame Land. They get all these exclusive stuff that TotS could had got if it would had not crashed back in January. Remember when we were the first ones to get the new map of the reprinted book 1? Ahhh, good old days...

Well, I have to say that many folks in LGL have met JD and have quite a good relationship with him, then Alberto Dal Lago is a friend of ours. What saddens me is that Alberto didn't draw this cover and it's a very pity. I'm not happy at all at how the Mongoose is managing this reprint, and this is the real reason why I don't show up here from a long time, even if I miss you all. It's only that I would only be here to complain about a lot of stuff. I was very excited about this project, but all my excitement vanishes bit by it every time I hear some news from the Mongoose guy. Honestly I have to say that most of the times, you all guys are too soft towards Mongoose behaviour, they're messing with the scripts of the books, the bindings, the logo, now the cover artwork, I'm really pissed off but it seems that it's only me, and sometimes I feel kinda out of place. I think that we fans have the power to change things if we are unite (and there's a hella lot of people that paid in advance), but we're not unite.
PS. IMHO ToTS lost major points with JD relationship with the failure of the interview of the last year.
I'll try to be here more often, like I said I miss you guys ;D

What saddens me is that Alberto didn't draw this cover and it's a very pity. That's not his work? Seriously, we are learning something new here. Has Alberto Dal Lago been ditched by Mongoose after the cover of book 7?

No, he will draw all the books till the 28th, while this one has been committed to another (nameless) artist because Mongoose wanted to do things QUICKLY.
And, as far as I know directly from Alberto Dal Lago, he's not happy about this choice and JD is supporting and backing him.
I think we should really point out to the Mongoose guy that we WANT a continuity.

Mongoose? Do things quickly?
This does sound incredibly daft.

I think the new cover looks just fine, spectacular, in fact.
I also prefer continuity in the series, but in this particular case, the substitution seems of equivalent quality.
I hope the flag isn't ate up by the Lone Wolf logo.

Ah! Sorry for the threadnomancy, but I just learned that this cover was made by Nate Furman, the same guy that will do the interior illustrations for the series starting with book 13.
