Can you keep running totals in the first post for ease of reference?

Professional gundwarf, remember? Bet I get clobbered in the quarterstaff contest though.

Can you keep running totals in the first post for ease of reference? I've put it there. You may need to remind me to update it... And, yes there will be some event parts where Doomy's Gun specials are of little use to him.

Seems everyone choices are in now.
You have until Monday to update your choices...
I guess this event is far less exciting when it comes to the first place than it could be.
With only one character spending specials on being a good shot I guess I believe that Doomy not winning would be highly unlikely.
Is there anything rule-wise which you think should have been different ?
I guess having damage calculation works different for ranges would be one idea. Instead of subtraction, it could be a penalty for range. Like: (110-Distance/2)/100, and full damage if below 20 in distance. 80 distance: 70/100 = 0.7 (70% damage) 60 distance: 80/100 = 0.8 (80% damage) 40 distance: 90/100 = 0.9 (90% damage) 20 distance or below: 100% damage
Ideas? Suggestions ?

Still haven't wrapped my head around the exact effect (how large) all the parts were. I think viscerally, footsoldiers having one health, soldiers have a hallf decent health (good shot would kill them) and warriors having challenging health might also have been good - so you pla it safe and risk losing health to shots on easy kills, or go for something harder. As it stands, many of us are chipping away on the footsoldiers!

Well, I think the event works pretty well. But then I would say that since I'm winning. I don't know if percentile damage would make much difference. If you ignore my scores, the contest actually looks pretty even. As you say it's the specials which make the difference. The next event will doubtless reward different character builds from what I am using. Edit: Wuuf's suggestion above looks worthy of investigation. I also think the event needs simplifying, it's a bit confusing at the moment. Bonus DVD Extra Edit: I'm not suggesting changing the rules halfway through the contest though!

As it stands, many of us are chipping away on the footsoldiers! Well, for this contest aiming at Foot soldiers is good since you will likely hit 10% more often, and hitting means damage... This contest counts damage. Seen for the total tally of kills going for the Soldiers or Warriors is better, since they will count more than the Tier I Monsters. 20 Health is what a normal Tier III would be expected to have in the Casiorn challenge game. Give or take a little depending on what type of monster it was. It is not that far away from the PC's who all have 30 Health (unless they get a special or equipment part to increase it.) That said, I might just introduce a Tier IV Boss Monster in some of the later contest but do NOT expect to see many of those. Edit: I'm not sure what the actual comment is on the Health score. The Footmen, Soldiers and Warriors DO have different scores as per the first post in this thread.

How much is each kill worth? Is it points = tier?

Hence why I aim for foot soldiers, due to lack of damage from me I hit the weaker targets giving a greater chance of killing. Plus, yknow big guys are always more fun to take down face-to-face

The way things are going, the big guys will all be dead by the time we start the melee phase. The NPCs are going to start killing a lot of enemies in future rounds.

How much is each kill worth? Is it points = tier? I haven't specified that. There are two counts. One count is for total enemies, there they count as 1 each. This one I'd say is less prestigious to win. The other one I plan something like: Tier I: 1 point Tier II: 3 points Tier III: 10 points Tier IV: 25 points
