I'll use the questionaire. It simplifies things.
Why did you choose your screen name?
Because when I do not shave I grow a beard and that is red.
Do you have a real name you might be willing to share?
Henrik Eriksson
How old are you?
30...
What do you do for a living?
I teach mathematics and physics at high school level (or something similar). I entertained dreams of doing something useful with my master's degree in physics, but if you do not get a PhD position your best option is to become a teacher, if you do not have another skills to fall back on.
What part of the world are you from?
Sweden, Europe, where you can find a place named Hammerdal by the way.
Married?
Nope
Got kids?
None what so ever.
Got pets?
No
Height? Weight?
Yes, I do have both height and weight.
Favourite Food?
Depends on what I'm currently has a craving for.
In a fit of generosity, TotS is buying the next round. What’ll it be?
Guiness or something similar.
They say that music and film says a lot about you, so…
My favourite movie when I was a kid was "Romancing the Stone" with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
I like music, but I have never found it essential to living but I love to sing "Lady in Red" in karaoke rather badly.
Favourite bands?
None. I have only been at one concert, but that was rather good, but she was a solo artist.
What was the last album you bought? Was it any good?
It probably was a Bruce Springsteen collection. At least one of the three discs was nice. I like his 80's stuff.
Favourite films?
The Indiana Jones movies and the Star Wars movies. The Shawshank Redemption can always be viewed another time.
Favourite TV shows?
Presently I'm only watching re-runs of Stargate SG-1, but does not care much for it. I enjoyed "Heroes" though and look forward to a third season. I have watched the 1st season of Big Love as well and liked it as well.
Favourite books?
Anything by H.P. Lovecraft.
Got any vices? (Smoke, drink, gamble, anything else that fits)
I drink and gamble (an occasional poker player and of course various RPGs and board games).
Travelled much? To which countries?
I've been to Denmark, Norway, Estonia and Finland on short visits. I have also travelled through Germany and stayed in the Netherlands for a week twenty years ago. I do not travel much. I'm not sure its worth the money. I had hoped to get a job with many free travels to interesting places, but it does not look that I will get such a job in the forseeable future...
Which sports teams (if any) do you support?
I'm not interested in sports teams, although I support various Swedish teams in World Championships and the Olympics and other competitions between nations.
Which sports (if any) do you play?
None presently. But I enjoyed playing basketball with my friends during my late teens.
Any other hobbies/interests?
RPGs (Call of Cthulhu and Star Wars RPG on top of the list currently)
Lone Wolf Stuff
How old were you when you first found Lone Wolf and how did you meet him?
I was seven years old. My brother read the Swedish translation of Flight from the Dark for me. I was hooked on the spot.
Have you read all the books yet? If not, which ones do you need to read?
Book 19 and book 22. Book 13+ never got translated to Swedish and it took some years before I discovered that there were more written about Lone Wolf. I succeeded in getting hold of every book except book 16, 17, 19 and the elusive book 22. I have since then read book 16 and 17 on ProjectAon.
Favourite book?
The Caverns of Kalte. More for sentimental reasons than the actual quality of the book. I thought the icy world of Kalte was very exciting and horrible.
Least favourite book?
Shadow on the Sand. I really liked the first part of the book, but I thought that the second part was boring until the ending where the book picked up the pace again. I don't care much for book 11 either, mostly because the long sections and the impossible fights.
Favourite character(s)?
Banedon. My first friend in the first book. Meeting him again in book 5 was unexpected but welcome.
Characters you love to hate?
Vonotar the Traitor. I had suspicions that he would appear again when I learnt the title of book 11. I would have loved to see him get a larger role in that book.
Characters you just hate?
Zakhan Kimah and the Chaosmaster. Though opponents to beat. I did not have such a hard time of beating Ixiataaga, but then I had some Adgana saved from book 12...
Favourite Special Item?
Originally the Firesphere, but it was quickly replaced by the Sommerswerd when I got hold of book 2.
Best death?
Tough question. I enjoy the really gruesome and painful deaths, where the whole existence of Lone Wolf seems pointless.
Best fight scene?
The Akr'aa Neonor in Caverns of Kalte.
Best action sequence from the books?
Anything involving the Sommerswerd and the terror of the opponents when they discover that they are doomed.
Any interesting Lone Wolf stories?
None that I can think of.
Lone Wolf RPG Stuff
Have you played the RPG yet?
Yes.
Which classes have you played?
Brother of the Crystal Star, Sage of Lyris and Kai Lord.
Favourite classes and why?
Brother of the Crystal Star since it's a simple class without so much recordkeeping.
Least favourite classes and why?
Kai Lords and Shianti. Both are overpowered. Kai Lords are hard to make interesting to roleplay. The Shianti should never in my opinion been a part of the roleplaying game. Let the Shianti stay at the Isle of Lorn!
Any good Lone Wolf gaming stories to tell?
Well, I was part of the campaign "The Enemy of my Enemy". I played the sage Simyn and enjoyed it. It's the only campaign that I have participated that actually have ended, although the end was quite unexpected and I would have liked to continue.
I also played in a very intriguing campaign on Rpol.net but that was cancelled.
General RPG gaming stuff
How long have you been into RPG?
23 years.
Which are your favourite worlds?
The world of Mutant, a Swedish roleplaying game set in a postapocalyptical Scandinavia inhabitated by old robots and mutants. I'm also fond of playing in our own world especially Call of Cthulhu. I'm also intrigued by Forgotten Realms but I have never had the chance of playing a campaign in that world (some Computer Roleplaying games though). I like the world of Castle Falkenstein too.
Least favourite?
None that I can think of. I'm open to most when it comes to RPGs.
