This logo has been replaced by this one by Mongoose Publishing. Here's the explanation from Joe Dever himself, as posted by MongooseCharlie:

I don't see the point of this case in French. Gallimard was doing a totally different logo to the original one but I don't know about the Italian or German used logo though From the Grimoire website: I prefer the first one. More stylish.

Agreed. Even though the blood spattered design was a pain to make the Chronicles of Magnamund logo from, it still looks far better than the retro design. It also looks good in foreign languages, despite the fact that the wolf's head is now left (or right) of centre. Though I can understand the reasoning behind it, I don't think the new logo pushes any boundary's as far as design goes, and it's nowhere near as striking.

From the Grimoire website: Le Grimoire also uses this one: The new logo will start appearing on book 6. The one that is currently shown on the LW page over at Mongoose is a mock up. The new cover, along with the one of book 7, will be revealed by the end of the week.

Those of you who've checked the Mongoose forums will observe that I like this new logo better. I agree that it's more in keeping with the original ones (and I even suggested making the change at book 6 for the transition from the kai to the magnakai series a few hours before they announced it (although I doubt my suggestion had anything to do with that fine decision)).

From all of them that I've seen so far I prefer the bristle-furred blood spattered one.
I think my least favorite one has been the black & white illustrated one on one of the British editions. It looks more like an angry fox to me than a Lone Wolf.

We can't deleted posts nor at the moment lock the open forums from guest posting (needs FA) so, all one of us with staff privileges can do is modify the post to remove the spam. It does seem to only be these annoying junk posts, and it had atopped ages ago...apparently it's back

I do not get it, what is the point of those kind of spams? Is it just someone dry running a spam bot?
