Unless you've missed his signature or his recent post on the Mongoose Boards, we are glad to see that Grey Wolf has been chosen to write the bonus adventure for the new version of book 8! Congratulations to him!

Bravo to GW! We always knew that we had more than one famous writer amongst us (Any non-family member who can call R.A. Salvatore 'Bob' and get away with it deserves to be famous!)

I've been working on this with Mongoose and Joe for...ye gods...quite a bit now, so it's been a bit of a hard slog to get to where we are. (due to time zones and other things) However I can report, that I have my briefing from Joe and the work can begin doing this solo adventure Thanks. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come for other writers, getting in was hard though. It helped I think that I'd done work previously on Signs and Portents plus writing the Sommerlund book. Which stands a chance to see the light of day for the new RPG at least.

Why should time zones be a problem? Is Joe not in the country or have you moved away from the UK?

Why should time zones be a problem? Is Joe not in the country or have you moved away from the UK? Didn't you know that JD spends most of his time in Singapore to supervise the video game and his company?

I knew there was something going on over with Ksatria, but I didn't know how deeply involved Joe is with it.

The thing is, does Joe actually know what makes a good videogame? For many years Tom Clancy's name has appeared on a long list of hit games, which he's had enough sense to stay the hell away from and just watch the royalty cheques roll in.

The thing is, does Joe actually know what makes a good videogame? Errr... from his entry on Wikipedia, the list of games he worked on: Computer and video game designE-Scape (1996) Corazon (1997) In Cold Blood (1998) Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy (1999) Flåklypa Grand Prix (2000) Flying Circus (2000) Wheelie (2001) Top Down (2001) Desert Gunner (2001) Speedboat Racer (2001) RVO Mech (2002) Ground Control II (2003) Killzone (2004) 2 Fast 2 Furious (mobile phone edition 2005) I think we can trust the guy... ;D

Hmm, yeah. But I'm an old gamer and I've heard of exactly one of those games. And what I've heard wasn't great. Still, at least we know why the baddies in Killzone are called Helghast.

The question we should then ask is: "If he knows how to make games, does he know how to make good ones?"

Which is pretty much what I asked in the first place.
