Detroit beat Colorado tonight, 4-3 as well. As far as Montreal and Detroit at the finals... it is a good possibility. I get lucky and get to see the Red Wings at least once a year as their training camp is about 10 miles away from my house.

I get lucky and get to see the Red Wings at least once a year as their training camp is about 10 miles away from my house. Okay, that is lucky! I'm biased against Detroit though, 'cause my friend always plays them on the XBox, while I always play Montréal. It's a game based on last season, so Detroit have much better stats. Sometimes I even win though! Wow, though - think of a Detroit/Montréal final.... Long way to go yet, however.

Detroit = the awesomeness. They have my vote all the way. Sarra, biased.

Latest from Chad Huebner. I still don't know who he is. But - hey - he's still funny. www.coventryblaze.co.uk/news_features.php?id=49By the way, seeing that Montréal was unbeaten by Philadelphia in the regular season, should we naturally assume that this series is going to 7? ;D

Gah! I really thought they'd get an equaliser and get into extra time.... 3-2 Philadelphia. I finally get to see another Montréal game (live - or very close to - as well!), and they dominate the play in all areas....except goal-tending. The poor analyst on Channel Five - he was putting a brave face on it, but he clearly wasn't happy. A weird match. The shots on goal was 34-14 - or something like that (?) - in favour of Montréal, but Biron just wasn't letting anything in. Price on the other hand was not having a great night. True, there was a lot of traffic in front of two of the goals, so he couldn't see much, but he did the same thing as a couple of weeks back and dropped the puck down to play it right next to a Flyers player! He was lucky not concede a goal again. I seriously hope he's not shaken so much by his occasional wobbles so far in the play-offs that he struggles even more. Even to my wildly unknowledgeable eyes, it seems clear that Montréal are by some distance the better team as a whole, but if one goalie's leaking the odd goal while the other's not letting anything get past him, it could make all the difference. It might be time to do the old, 'Hey, Marty! Isn't that Halley's Comet!?'

Biron was good AND lucky for a second game in a row: how many posts and missed shots did the Habs have? As for Price, ever since that 5th game against Boston, he gives the impression to not be at the top of his confidence. Like you said Simey, he DID gave the puck to a player of the other team again yesterday. Remember that third goal against Boston in game 5? The weird 4th goal in that same game? I got the impression that it was the exact same thing that was happening there. I would go with Halak in the 4th game before bringing back price in the 5th. The guy needs some rest, it's obvious...

Biron is lucky or a God. The Habs have shooted 38 times and the Flyers 26 times. The score ended up as 4-2 for Philadelphia. They are leading the playoffs with 3-1 now. The game was incredible. No goals have been made during the first 20. Ph have made 2 goals on the second period and the Habs equalize this with two goals in a 37 secondes interval. Sadly, 2 more goals was made by the Flyers after, one of them while having an empty net for the Habs. Saturday night game will be very decisive for the Habs. But no one was able to predict a victory of 5-0 against the Bruins during the 7th match, no?

It sounds like it was just like the third game! I'm a real fan of the goalies in hockey - they have a ridiculous job, and when they do it well, it's spectacular. This is showing just how important they are - the Habs are doing almost everything better, but Biron is much the superior goalie so far, and he's winning the games for the Flyers. It's time to tie his legs together! Let's hope that home ice can give Montréal a boost and maybe distract Biron somehow. If they can push it to a game seven, where will that be played, by the way? Does Montréal get home ice advantage for being the top seeds or what happens?

The pattern of this is 2 games home, 2 games outside. After it's going with one game until an equip win. As Montréal have finish the 1st in their conference, they have the advantage to begin at home. They are coming back in MTL for the 5th game, if they win, they are going back in PHI and if they win again, back in MTL for the ultimate match. A lot of works to do. Three games to win in a row. The Habs have already done that in the past but with Biron as a goalie....
As for the home ice, yep, it's seem that an equip have an advantage when they are playing at home. They are training many hours a week on these ice, so they are used to it. Any hockey player could say the same thing as me. And to not to forget our awesome Habs supporters in Bell Center that boo Brière when he get the puck or yelling out loud "Biron". Other name to fear, R.J. Umberger.

I would go with Halak in the 4th game before bringing back price in the 5th. The guy needs some rest, it's obvious... Was I right, hey? Halak played well, but his teammates couldn't put a puck pass Biron. He made some good saves, but how many posts the Habs hit since the beginning of this series? And how many chances did they missed? Somehow, I suspect someone is using a voodoo doll on the Habs...

Thats who'd be Stevens. No doubt on this.... Or maybe Julien who didn't accept the defeat? Others teams in the playoffs, Detroit(3-0) and Pittsburg(3-0) finish their series tonight if they continue like that. Tomorrow night, we have San Jose(3-1) that may win their 4th games. So why the Habs have so much difficulty to beat the other team in 3 or 4 games like the others teams? Gosh, we are damned since 1993.

Are they going with Halak or Price in the fifth game, do you know?
So, a win will just send them straight back to Philadelphia - yikes.
But they are the better team as a whole - they just have to keep plugging away and doing everything right. If Biron saves everything that's on target then you can't argue with that, but surely something's got to get through. The analyst on the NHL show for Monday's game reckoned that Montréal should start rushing the net, just try and get in Biron's face a bit, maybe throw him a little. Did they do that at all yesterday?
The Flyers were certainly doing it to Price and then to Halak. Mind you, Price was a bit shakey already against Boston.
Fingers very crossed for game five.
