I got the Mongoose edition of Kingdoms of Terror a few days ago from the nearby distribution center in Kettering, Ohio. Anyone else get it yet?
Looks good overall. The mini-adventure has some awesome Lone Wolf illustrations. (Though I haven't played it yet).
I haven't done a detailed analysis of the old vs new to see if there are any big changes, but the illustrations in the main portion are usual - some better than Chalk, some not as good. I do like the new rendition of the Dakomyd inside the gamebook. Seem to have less of an issue with overly dark illustrations, which is a good thing.
It felt good to vist Varetta and Tekaro again !

I think you lot in america are getting it, us lot in europe / UK still waiting - which is the sort of reversal you would expect now the printing has hopped the pond

Hey, I am a Cener Druid. I'd NEVER kick a fellow Lone Wolf fan while down. But it was nice, since I already knew the answer. ;D

Got mine! The new logo is feature on the cover, and they have written Magnakai on the spine. I don't know if they'll do the same thing with the softcovers of the Kai series. My hardback copy of book 5 comes from the new printer and doesn't have the mention "Kai" on the spine, so I guess it will only be featured on the softcovers.

Looks good, although Im still not on board with the new logo. Still, nice to see another book! I don't really care about the logo. What bothers me is that, with either the old or new logo, the face of the Dakomyd on the cover is masked by the title. It ruins the feeling that the artwork could give to the readers.

What bothers me is that, with either the old or new logo, the face of the Dakomyd on the cover is masked by the title. It ruins the feeling that the artwork could give to the readers. If it's been printed the same as the example on Mongoose's website then that is an incredibly stupid mistake by artist and designers combined. Surely they have by now worked out a framework of where the title will sit on the cover and where, therefore, the most important features of the picture need to be positioned in order to avoid being printed behind it. I have to say that, personally, I'm not too bothered by this particular mess-up 'cause I don't think much of that picture compared to either Gary Chalk's version of the Dakomyd or the Peter Jones/Solar Wind one on the front of The Lorestone of Varetta. But you have to wonder when they're finally going to get a whole book right. I was on the Mongoose website for the first time in ages because I was actually looking at buying the first few books, but I've now been put off yet again!

Oh, how come? If you order the books they will be right now - the book 3 with the error is sold out, so they are now printing a second run with the error corrected, and nothing has been spotted in 6, sothat means 1 - 6 should be good I think

Well, obviously I've been tentative from the start otherwise I'd have at least some of them by now. But every time I start to feel like going for it - despite all the problems - because I'm thinking, they'll have all the kinks ironed out by now, something else happens (like missing equipment lists and a stupid cover error) that makes me wonder if they're ever going to get any of them right. Should you really have to think about leaving 6 months or so after publishing before you buy each one in the hope that all the dodgy versions will have gone and all the errors corrected? Particularly if you have a perfectly serviceable version of the vast majority of that book already? Partly, I suppose it's just me being curmudgeonly really. The novels, however, I'll be keen to get hold of as soon as possible.

Well the only flaws I have found are the annoying cover art, the map is still too brown! What happened to green? I thought the plans of Slovia were grass rather than mud ... Oh and one of the section numbers at the top of the page is 1 when it should be 15.
Otherwise fine and none of these errors in any way detract from the story - it's just a personal thing. The mini-adventure was very hard, and the longest one yet! I liked it a lot and am looking forward to replaying it.
Well done Mongoose!

Do you know a restaurant that serves that? Seriously though, this is nice to see. Must get round to playing my copy.

Kingdom of Terror American version actually had my favourite cover: For me this is the epitome of LW's character. Destined to be alone. Destined to survive.
