Now this has been up on the mongoose publishing boards for a while and was up on the news section of the old site for even longer. But incase anyone missed it Joe Dever will be at the Excel centre in London as part of Salute 08 between 1-3pm this saturday.

Hi guys went to salute even though I don't really have any interest in wargaming I bring you this picture of me with Joe. www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=801293&id=584426267&ref=mfWhat a great guy, it's first time I have ever met him and he took the time out to talk to me for a while. asking questions about how I got into the series and stuff. A few things I picked up from him during my conversation. -Computer game is based around the first book with that giving 12-13 level the temple will be greatly expanded to about 2-3 levels of this. Level 4 feature going up into the mountains (not in the books) and explains more about my the kai where caught off-guard by the attack. The ending of the computer game will vary from the books slightly. -Books 29 and 30 are like a two part of the series book book 29 is finished but not named yet. -It was the first time he had seen one of the cafe-press TOTS T-shirt in the flesh so to speak he would like to get a kai bannered one himself. -He talked about the error with book 4 and seemed geniunely upset that the error had occured after what happened with book 3. -Book five is complete and fully checked over for errors.

Oh, that's interesting! 29 and 30 will be like 21 and 22: one adventure divided in two parts. And 12 levels for the video game? Sounds good to me. And about the Cafepress t-shirt, can we still get one now that TotS is down? Ok, going to make an news item with this.

I've tried to access them before but can't seem to, Cafe press still have my old order on file but did doesn't link you to the items so maybe not but if they are accessible it looks like it would have lwtots in the title as all the ones I ordered did.

I took a look, searching for a few things with different keywords, to no avail... However, if you type "Kai" as a keyword, you'll get some interesting results... Just imagine a Kai Lord wearing these t-shirts on weekends.

-He talked about the error with book 4 and seemed geniunely upset that the error had occured after what happened with book 3. The error being the equipment section, or the text sections leading to wrong entires within the Maaken range, or something else? Any congrats on meeting the "man" himself and thank you for keeping us all informed.

I didn't go into too much detail to be honest I was a bit nervous and trying to remember every little detail to give it back to you guys.
What he said was that having read the critism on the forum (I don't know if he meant TOTS or on the mongoose publishing forum) that it had given him a sleepless night because it came straight after the error with book 3.

Must have been on the Mongoose forums.
Alas, Tower of the Sun has been gone for nearly three months now and the publication of Book 4 is after the forum went down.

Joe doesn't look like a Joe.
I'd completely forgotten that I met him years ago, and was extremely timid. Heh. He spoke briefly about Legends and signed some stuff for me.
