Yeah, I pretty much know how to make it all 'canonical' with the West Watch if I ever get the story that far to sync up, so it is a comscious choice Well, that and a good way to use powerful unethical stuff in these game! Hence the subtle leaning towards poison use and disease both here and Avalar

Actions:[/n] Shoot the wolf twice. I've realised I don't know how much unslinging and reloading a weapon takes, so I'm only guessing that I have enough actions to do this. But I hope so! The rules are much more generous than that! You have three shots in this round, you could have had four but I assumed you wanted the stealth move since the wolves were not aware of you. With your rapid reload you can shoot at 2, 3, 5 and 7 activity in every round.

I'll let my actiond stand, so I guess the effect wears off in the first activity point of the next round

Still stands as tomorrow for at least three of us playing! ;D Where's Doomy from anyway?

Ah.
I am in combat with three wolves.
I read it as one wolf and two bodies of wolves.
Oops.
I think it not entirely beyond the realms of possibility that I am in serious trouble.

It is three Large wolves. Not wolves. They are Tier II. My bet: You will beat them but will take some damage doing so. You will have likely have one of them down before they can even attack you. Also your defence rating is quite good so they will have difficulty hitting you. And you only saw one alive wolf last round in the next room last round, but creatures are seldom alone in a dungeon and you won't always see every creature before they attack you.

Just outside Glasgow to be exact. You couldn't tell from my character's love of strong drink and extreme violence? Maybe you just put that down to his being a dwarf.

Unfortunately.... ....I interpretted this as one living wolf and two dead ones strewn across the room with the corpses. Never mind. There's only one thing to do in this sort of situation: ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!!

There's only one thing to do in this sort of situation: ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!!That was indeed one live wolf you saw. One of the wolves in next room was obsured by the wall, the other you failed to see. You are not likely to get very far without having to fight, but you can always hope for undead in your path. But who knows the coast may be clear the other way. I check for encounters first when you enter an area or when you are able to see an are. The chance for an encounter is 1 : 3 for every room. Room closer to your goal will have a 1 : 2 chance for an encounter. I will move you two steps into the room next round with stealth. You can't search rooms you do not see at the start of a round.

Please post the rules regarding Bor Pistols for my reference. It seems to have a shotgun-like AOE.

Presumably, with your comment about two wolves being strewn across the room, there are also two wolf corpses there?

Bor Pistols do damage in a straight line from the position of the shooter. It hits all creatures on the affected squares.
Damage for both Piercing and Bludgeoning is decreased by 1 for each square travelled. (No reduction for the first square.)
You attack using Eye. If the attack misses a target, the damage is halved.
I do prefer that you try to fire horisontally or vertically on the map, otherwise I will probably rule that the shot must pass close to the centre of a square for a square to be affected, or affect a single targets.
Yes, there was two dead wolves in the first room and 3 living wolves in the next room.
