As part of repopulating the TotS site when it is rebuilt, the canonical encyclopaedia - the Manual of the Kai - will need to be reconstructed The original Desert Oasis encyclopaedia still exists, and of course the Project Aon reader's handbook contains many gaming entries. However, if you still have, or are in the mood to write, entries for items that are not covered under these then please enter them below. THis includes adding information to or expanding existing entries. EDIT: PLEASE POST ENTRIES HERE INSTEAD.

Well to add one I added to the old manual before, I know I added others just to now remember what
Szalista - the ancient Cenerese word meaning 'fifteen'
Edit some more
Vorka - reptilan fighters, a fighting breed of agarashi raised by Vandyan in Skull-tor, Duadon using the lost runes of Agarash the damned.
Addition to Agarash the damned - As well as the doomstones three obsidain tablets where engraved with runes and are known as the lost ruins of agarash the damned
Lord Vandyan - A man not of noble birth, who became ruler of the eldenorans after the death of prince Lutha. He crushed all royal opposition before he raised war against Delden after falsely accusing them of violating Eldenora boarders, he next stuck at Magador. Before attempting to take Lyris in battle.
Zorkaan the soultaker - Raised by Vandyan using the ruins of Agarash the damned from the plain of darkness. He was trapped in magnamund after the destruction of the ruins and left to run free for a while. This whirling black shadow was able to capture lonewolf outside of Ruanon and carry him to his new master Xaol, a necromancer dwelling in the city of Gazad Helkona

Ah, we weren't able to salvage the manual?!
Now that's painful!

Nope, the word from WH is that it's all gone, and one of his comments was that the manuals would be the first thing to need repopulated, and the downloads relinked The Tome of the order is more painful in that it was of course all our work and harder if impossible to get back without the poriginal people around.

How about the Wiki?
The wiki made a better way of finding the information you needed. I think we should restore the encylopedia in wiki form if possible.
In a wiki everyone can add their own entries and in the end it makes for an easier system to use.

No idea, I assume it might live since it was bolted on to the site and not an extention of it.
Definitely something to pass along to WH and ask. In the meantine, doesn't stop us getting the raw information of course.

Updating all the Manual/Tome info into a Wiki would be MUCH better than hosting it "on site" as before. As AS said, wikis can be updated by anyone, we'd just have to monitor it for hijakers and the like.

We'd need moe admins, and the ability to ban IPs.
The old wiki suffered from alot of spammer pages generated, and I never really had the time and inclination co-inciding to keep track, embarrassingly

Banning IPs isnt a problem, the old wiki let us do that. As you said Wuuf, it was the lack of admins on the Wiki that didnt help.

Banning IPs isnt a problem, the old wiki let us do that. As you said Wuuf, it was the lack of admins on the Wiki that didnt help. Wiki's have the ability to ban, unfortunately it didn't really work. I petitioned to IP ban the commercial spammers there but no ban was imposed. The admins who were online could not find the IP's of the posters, and so couldn't ban them. User ban was less effective since we alas didn't have a protection from registration bots on the wiki part. The bots simply created a new user regularly and continued to spam their non-sense.

Thats not the ToTS wiki though, unfortunately. Although theres no reason we couldnt add to that. But then would we want to add all our "non-canon" stuff to it.....
