I was cleaning through my home office the other day and had to set things strait. I changed out the gamebooks that were stored in my metal file cabinet with the lone wolf gamebooks (even the older ones) that were stored in cardboard boxes. A very small move up to at least get them out of the temporary boxes and something more secure and temporary until more space comes open in the house. Into the box went titles such as Wizards, Warriors & You, Time Machine, Naria Soloquest & TolkienQuest, Combat Command, Grailquest, Way of The Tiger, and Fighting Fantasy. Groups that I've either read or hope to read someday, but not likely in the next decade. Rather than let them set, I handed out gamebooks to my kids. For my oldest, Narnia Soloquest. For my second (who has difficulty reading) went Wizarrds Warriors & You. And my third, Time Machine. Each fit their personality in a way. They were amazed. And asked for more. A good way to start sharing Christmas with the kids. And a bit of myself.

Wow, that is something I hope to do someday: give my LW books to my kids. Reading is a very important thing when a child is growing up. Both my girlfriend and I think the same way: we will have to share our love for reading to our future kids, and one of the best thing to do it I think would be to read a LW book with my son/daughter. Nice move you did Koreth. I didn't know Ceners could love so much their kids!

I've shared Lone Wolf specifically with my oldest daughter...she has the most literary interest and skill.
In my children, I see strong characteristics of me, and I work actively to develop them.
It is always fun to share parts of myself with them and help them develop. They teach me about myself.
Merry Christmas!
