In a moment's gaze, a dark silhouette disappeared as quickly and sudden as it appeared. Not many would have caught the fleeting figure but those trained in the arts would have noticed. But without a doubt, the fleeting shadow was draped in an unmistakable green cloak and in its wake, a cold freezing breeze........

The dark shadowy figure etched a smile on his half hidden cold face, as he watched Beowuuf from a ceiling beam in the room, shouting a welcome back greeting towards the the very spot where he was standing moments ago. He almost wanted to jump onto his furry friend and returned the greeting but steadied himself as he continued to watch him, unsure if the others were as welcoming as his old friend was. After all, he left the Tower almost two years ago without a word to his friends and allies whom he called family.
He had his own reasons then and as sudden as the moment he left, here he was just as sudden, in the very Tower he had spent almost all his life growing up in. Deep inside, he wasn't sure how the others would react towards his presence. The dark figure decided it was best to continue observing the furry one's reaction as well as the others without exposing himself.
That time would come, but not now.

Can you really see a Kai Lord who doesn't want to be seen?
Beowuuf walked over to sleep infront of the master hall door to cut out the draft, and sleep off whatever effect was making him see Kai Lords everywhere.

Can you really see a Kai Lord who doesn't want to be seen. You can't, of course! But I'm giving you the benefit of a doubt, that you are imagining things. A Kai Lord can only be seen if he wants to be seen or if he wants someone else to think that they have seen him. Besides, give me a break, I'm rusty! Having ventured the Tower for the night, he decided to make his way back to the Dormitory where he found his old friend was sleeping. He sat in a chair which was nearby without a single sound and watched the furry figure slept away, his legs kicking in the air, obviously having a dream of some sort. He would soon be aware of him, he'd figured. He pulled his hood lower and waited.

Suddenly, Hawk Eye hears a voice whispering in his ear.
"Welcome back, Grand Master! How is the Kai Fleet?"
Turning his head in surprise, the Grand Master looks around but cannot find the face of the man who just spoke to him. However, he did recognized the voice.
"It's nice to be back, Black Cat. How did you know I was here? And where are you?"
"I'm right under you! You are sitting on me!"

Can you really see a Kai Lord who doesn't want to be seen? Nope, they cannot be seen. However, it is usually their smell that gives them away Welcome back Hawkeye!

"I'm right under you! You are sitting on me!"
Hawkeye immediately stood up looking at where he was sitting, eying the chair with great curiosity. "Come now brother, you expect me to believe that you are the chair? Or is this a new skill the Kai has picked up in my absence?"
Just then, Al walked in and as startled as a dwarf could be, he opened his eyes widely, staring at the Kai who was staring at a chair. He stammered abruptly, "Welcome back Hawkeye!" but just loud enough to awaken the sleeping Beowuuf.
"Master Dwarf, it gladdens my heart to know that my name has not lost its place in your memory." He replied, turning to Al for a moment before setting his gaze on the chair, giving it a light kick.
"Perhaps I'm not as out-of-touch as I thought I was since only you three were aware of my presence."

"What the heck! A dwarf in the Monastery?!? You are here to steal the secret of our ale, the Borweiser!"
Black Cat stood up from the chair, revealing himself to the surprised Supreme Kai Master.
"Okay everyone, come to the refectory. We'll drink and listen the story of Hawk Eye who will tell us what he has done in the past few months".

"Methinks he should take a bath first..." says Al, noticing the smell of the wild on the young Grand Master.
"And are ye still on about that, Master Black Kitty? It would seem being in second place is something you Kai Lords are not used tae!"

What was all the commotion from inside the dratted Monastery? Could the dratted Kai not keep quiet? Allies were hard to come by, but why did the most powerful allies of all have to disturb a knight's rest? Then again, Simey had got a strange sense of some ephemeral presence a short while back - could the disturbance be linked to that?
He eyed the entrance gate and wondered whether or not he should enquire as to what was going on.
Welcome back, HE! Terrific to see you return!
