That was fun, maybe a good joke for the UK rounds but not for JD himself

It goes to Joe and then after Joe back to me, so I can get the newest group of Portland LWers on it. Then I think I will personally deliver it to FA, to avoid any mishaps and to buy him a beverage of his choice. If not, it will be quickly shipped to him. Be sure to provide a photo of whatever Joe writes in there!

I will! Hopefully it will be something more than just his name!

I doubt I'll get the chance to send this off too soon. I'm off on a course for the next few days then I have to travel back home. I'm hoping that I'll be sending it on Thursday or Friday this week. A bit late I know, but the best I can do.

Hey, that's not so bad! When I hear "not too soon" in regards to the Wandering Book, I think in terms of years, or at least weeks!

Yeah, I think any time before Christmas will be fine!

All packed up and ready for the visit to the Post Office tomorrow.
Was anyone else really nervous handling the book? I was - beyond all reason!

I was nervous about something happening to it en route to Beowuuf. That's one of the reasons why he received a huge pile of packaging with a small paperback buried somewhere in the middle. You could chuck that thing off a mountain and it would've been fine.
The other reason was that I found it amusing.

And it's away. Special Delivery to Joe's address. I've included a note with Zipp's address on it too. Guess we can only wait until Zipp gets it now - I'd be quite surprised if Joe came on here to tell us he'd posted it!

Sending it Special Delivery means you will get a special preview of Joe's signature, as a facsimile appears on the webpage accessed via the tracking number.

I found opening the packaging very amusing, and the combination of paranoia and humour meant I kept it going Woohoo, the book is on its way to JD! That's so cool! Pity it's a holiday weekend!

Was anyone else really nervous handling the book? I was - beyond all reason! Well, it survived Seattle-area traffic, since I picked it up myself from Nahuris and Nightraven. So, after that, nothing was likely to be too stressful on my end. But then, that was a while ago too.

Quick update - I finally remembered to check the tracking website, and it confirms that the book arrived at JD's address on the 29th May.
Just thought you all might want to know!

Nice! Now wouldn't it be ironic if Joe lost it?
