Happy New Year! Last minute ended up entertaining on New Year's Eve. Spent four hours cooking from mid-afternoon (drinking mulled wine throughout) then had an excellent evening of eating and games. Ten people playing silly board games under the influence was very funny! ;D Having to be at work at 7.30 a.m. on New Year's Day was not so funny. But 'twas only a short shift then back to bed!

Pretty smooth New Year's celebration for me: watching TV on New Year's Eve, then a party on the afternoon of the next day, and finally a supper at my grandma's place.
The real fun was on Sunday and Monday when I went with a few friends to Québec City. We visit a few places like the hotel where Churchill, Roosevelt and MacKenzie-King prepared what became Operation Overlord (D-Day), and an hotel made entirely of snow and ice (think of the ice palace in James Bond's Die Another Day, but in a realistic manner).
