Hi everyone,
I’ve been a long time reader of/lurker on the boards, and thought I should finally get round to posting. So, greetings!
I got into the Lone Wolf series in the mid-late 1980's. Lone Wolf 4, Chasm of Doom, was in fact the first thing I ever bought myself; I was about six, and had money I’d been given for my birthday. I saw it in the bookshop, skimmed through it, and thought it was the greatest thing in the history of the world.
I soon obtained and read the rest of the books, and Lone Wolf remains one of my favourite settings & series.
Although I’m from the UK, these days I live in Japan, where I work as an editor and writer.
At some point I’ll try to get round to filling in the questionnaire.
Nice to meet you all!

Indeed, nice to have a lurker join in actively! Welcome IT's amazing how LW grabbed us when we are young, yet we never did outgrow it in any way. Testiment ot a great series! Look forward to your questionaire to find out what you edit/write.

Oh, welcome to the forums!
Japan... I'll probably go to Japan on January of February to meet some colleagues. Or my boss will go... and this is a bit more likely... ;D

Wow! Welcome!
It's a great timing for you to start posting: we have learned that a Japanese company, Red Entertainment, is making the LW video game. Their website is in Japanese, of course, so we don't understand a thing. But with you living in Japan, perhaps you know how to read this language? Maybe you could get us some great information about the company and the game?

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I'll see what I can find out about Red Entertainment (no promises though... I don't want to be deported for stalking video game designers...) Jan - What part of Japan might you be visiting? That time of year is actually pretty good for most of the country (generally, summer is uncomfortably hot for Europeans).

Thanks Simey, Aguila.
Beowuuf, in answer to what I edit/write, primarily I edit textbooks & academic materials, and, this being Japan, business English language textbooks make up most of my work. Actually, most of my time these days is spent helping/training other editors who are working on the aforementioned textbooks.
I also work freelance on a variety of other stuff; much of it dull, some of it cool. In the "cool stuff" category, and relevant to here, I wrote the bonus adventures for books 4 & 11 of the Mongoose LW releases (and also for the upcoming book 13) (So everything you disliked in those, that was my fault (everything you liked was Joe's awesome editing)).

Jan - What part of Japan might you be visiting? Asahikawa, Hokkaido. Well, as I wrote - there is a chance that my boss will go instead of me... I should probably inform him that "that time of year is actually pretty BAD for most of the country" (in a reference to you).

Hmm book 4 was well written, one of the better. Only one plot thing seemed pointless in book 4. It is likely D'Val will never get a new melee weapon for the rest of the adventure after he loses his regular sword. Surely D'Val would have gotten a spare weapon from his troops or killed enemies. This is an issue if his other weapon is a Bow. Book 11. Looks good. Nothing to complain about in the narrative. Also one of the better. Except possibly the stats of the end-enemies are the same even if you have combatted one of them for 3(?) rounds prior to engaging both of them. You have done a good work on them!

Jan - Actually, Asahikawa is one of the places where the weather really will be bad. I've never been there myself, but from experience of other places in Hokkaido I wouldn't be surprised if Asahikawa is under a couple of feet of snow at that time of year.
