Tomorrow I'm off to see Nobuo Uematsu and the Seattle Symphony perform a two hour concert covering all of the Final Fantasy games.
I'm gonna be in the same room as Nobuo Uematsu.

Not too bad, I was expecting horror stories of touts demanding internal organs.

I was expecting horror stories of touts demanding internal organs. You never know. Ask Zipp tomorrow... if he comes in one piece.

The concert was amazing. They did so much music, including the FULL Opera from FF6, and an Encore performance of One Winged Angel with Nobuo singing in the choir.
Ah, Nobuo. The guy was great. Came out in a dirty shirt and a bandana. He was so happy. And he sat in the audience, like ten feet away from me. It was incredible.

<-Jealous For those living in the San Francisco area, the next Distant Worlds concert is July 18th at the Davies Symphony Hall. There're two other concerts in Seattle tonight and tomorrow. I hope that they come where I live. I regularly check on Wikipedia to see the next dates of their tour. Hey! You can listen the full version of the opera scene that Zipp refers to on the main website of the tour: www.ffdistantworlds.com/

So as I said earlier in other threads, I've lost my job recently. My boss (not the one who fired me) suggested to me to take some vacations, to make a trip or something. Since I don't have my passport, I cannot leave my country. And then, I saw that a Distant Worlds concert was scheduled in Vancouver next week, Oct. 8th. That made it for me: I'll spend a week in BC and I'll go to that concert (just bought my ticket online: 4th row, but completely to the left of the stage but I don't care). Uematsu won't be there though...

Hey, great! It's a really great concert! Make sure you stay for the encore, BC! They tend to trick you with an early end and some people missed their encore rendition of One Winged Angel!
Not me... I got to not only hear it, I got to see Nobuo sing as part of the choir! Even if he's not there, though, it's a really great concert. So many highlights I can't cover them all, but defnitely OWA and the Opera stand out. Oh my god, the Opera is really good! Actually, their piece from FFXI is really pretty amazing, too!

According to the schedule on Wackypedia they are buggering off back to Asia once they're finished with His Majesty's colonies. Bah, that's no use to me!

They have another concert in Chicago after Vancouver in December.
Oh, and I know about the encore. I went to so many concerts that I know that when the concert ends, there are always 2-3 more songs.
