Oh lord. Even on the US West Coast, it's mid-afternoon! But Sarra isn't on the US West Coast but in Michigan! It was 4:30 pm when he made his post, so this means that he is working the graveyard shift... That sucks... As for myself, I went to the library, got three comic books, and read one of them on a chair in my backyard since it was such a beautiful day. In the evening, went to watch the hockey game with some friends in a bar (more on that in the NHL thread).

Today, it's a beautiful day outside, BUT, because my brother borrowed the Wii from one of his friends for the week, I'm spending a lot of time playing LoZ: TP since I'll be back to my grandparents house for the week.

Well... I've had an eventful few days.
Thursday is where it all begins, so lets start there.
I had an interview for a new job at 12PM. The interview went pretty well I thought.
Obviously it went a bit better than 'pretty well', because I got a call about 2 hours later saying that I got the job. Major surprise or what? Not only is it more responsibility than my old job, but it's a serious payrise too.
So naturally I went out to celebrate on Friday. A slightly wild night was had, with me getting into bed for 6.30AM on Saturday morning. Slept all day Saturday in an attempt to work off the bad head(!)
And today was spent doing boring flat stuff, and researching how to spend some of my newfound wealth. I'm currently planning on a 32" Sony Bravia and XBox360 with GTA:IV.
Should be fun.

Good going, GB! Congrats on the new job man! Spend that money wisely. Hmm.... ....so far copious amounts of alcohol, a huge TV, a video game console and a video game that encourages criminal tendencies - I fear your advice comes too late, Sarra! ;D All the best with the shiny new job, GB!

Yep, as you can tell... I have no clue what to do with it all.
Thanks guys for the well wishes. Much appreciated.
And to answer your question, Nighthunter: One of the local councils in Wales is opening a new call centre. Basically it's for residents to get in touch with the council, to ask questions about a whole host of council services (council tax, rubbish collection, questions about housing benefits, etc etc etc) all under one number. My job is to be lead developer on the system that the agents will use when they answer these calls and take down the customer and query details. Which is exciting.

Nice one, GB. "Lead Developer" as well, eh? That sounds like you've plucked yourself an excellent job.

Yeah, sadly that's not the official job title, but it's in effect what I am. I'm more than delighted (shocked and ecstatic are two words that spring to mind) that I got it though, as you can guess.
