Hmmm.... one final question.
You think you can handle 8 Tier III between you?
These are all considerably tougher than the ones you have met while overland, packs a punch when they hit and has good health. They won't go down with one pistol shot.
They will also have some form of improved equipment on them. Armour or weapons, or something else.
If you want I can add Aguila in the fourth door.

l Sorry, disappearing to work, will post my stuff later or if i am bored at work. And remember people, the enemy's gate is down! The kill count is consolation for the losers who didn't break the beacon

It's not who actually smashes the beacon, but who does the most damage to it, thereby preventing us from "kill-stealing" it. I think.

I don't think it will be damage, because your pistols will do damage to the beacon as well. At least if you move forward and fire and this damage will not be that low either.
At a guess the one who defeats itheir allotted enemies first will probably get to destroy the beacon. It is not like it has a huge amount "hit points".
If you are about the same speed then it will mostly be up to luck.

Prizes: Beowuuf won the Vakeros Power Diadem. Return items and items you volontarily have indicated you would remove: Beowuuf: Ring of Regeneration Gauntlets of Strength Hmmm did Beowuuf get three items ... ? Seems I might have messed that up Doomy: Bor Rifle (Return the Bor Rifle to the dead dwarf's Kin) Necklace of Eye (Return to the dead dwarf's Kin.) Ring of Regeneration Gauntlest of Strength eviltb: Bor Pistol Boots of Speed. Trasken: Ring of Regeneration Danaarg Lurker's Dried Intestine (Trasken's two other special items were initial choices and so can be kept.) As a hint, some of you have extras of some items in your Bakpack which may be of use to the others who must return said items. I won't stop you from making some bargaining. Use this thread for that. Also, I will let you pick up any item you left behind for later trade. I think that applies only to eviltb who can pick up a second pair of Strength gloves, otherwise your Equipment lists in Crystal Beacons apply with the loan items removed.

Also, if I held another challenge.
As a favour to re-curring adventurers I will let you choose one additional special ability if you have taken part in 3 or more challenges.
Also, any damaged items I'll automatically assume are repaired fully in time for any further challenge.

Gauntlets of strength I think came from the field, did they not?

They are listed in first post in Overland Challenge, so I don't think they did.
But if you want to bargain then eviltb does indeed have a pair of additional Gloves/Gauntlets of Strength which I presume he would swap for your additional Boots of Speed.

Incidentally, anyone have any ideas for settings for a new challenge ?
I'll give you a month or so to rest.
I believe the free area was a little to free, so I might want something which is corridor based for the next one. Like a maze with long passages, underground caves, or a sewer system.
Division of Search into normal and ranged was hazzle (both me and players), so I will go back to just one search.
Other changes I'm considering is removing Boompowder from the Backpack when you want to Reload. It should be kept separate say attached to a bag on the belt or in a satchel slung around the shoulder. Of course you could still store extra Boompowder it in Backpack but you couldn't use it from there.
Perhaps use this with the Readied item.

I believe the free area was a little to free, so I might want something which is corridor based for the next one. Like a maze with long passages, underground caves, or a sewer system. Yeah, a good old-fashioned dungeon bash would make a nice change. Casiorn was a while ago now. This sounds like extra micro-management which will slow things down without any real bearing on tactics. I'm the trigger-happy one of the group, yet only ever fired a few shots in any given encounter. So what the above sounds like it would do is just result in my moving boompowder around between combats, rather than running out during fights or whatever effect you're trying to achieve here.
