Background Information
Burrowing Annihilators are below in tunnels. The soil before us is
covered in holes. Below lurks the Annihilators.
Each of us have 5 boom powders. We throw the Boompowder down the holes of our choice. If there are annihilators there they will either be damaged or killed.
There is a total of 16 annihilators in the holes. They are of Tiers as follows:
1 Tier IV. Captain. 30 Health. Attack: 4, To-Hit: 8. Movement: 6
3 Tier III. Warrior. 20 Health. Attack: 3, To-Hit: 7. Movement: 6
5 Tier II. Soldier. 12 health. Attack: 2, To-Hit: 6. Movement: 6
7 Tier I. Footman. 7 Health. Attack: 1, To Hit: 5. Movement: 6
Rolls will be made on invisible castle to place them on the game field when the game starts.
The Game Rules.
0. The game field is a square grid of size 10 x 10. The vertical columns are labelled A-J. The horizontal rows are labelled 1-10.
1. Placing phase.
A. Designate any start square for your character.
B. Place one Boom Powder from the start square.
C. Move up to 2 squares.
D. Place one Boom Powder from the new square.
E. Repeat C and D 4 times so you have placed all the boom powder.
B & D. Placement of Boompowder depend on your Eye score.
0: Can place safely on current square only
1: Can place safely on current and adjacent squares
2: Can place safely on squares up to 2 distance away
3: Can safely place on squares up to 3 distance away
2. Damage phase. The Boompowder explodes.
For a direct hit: Enemy is killed regardless of Tier.
For one square off: Enemy takes 5 + 2d10 damage.
For two squares off: Enemy takes 3 + 2d8 damage.
For three squares off: Enemy takes 1 + 2d6 damage.
For four squares off: Enemy takes 2d4 damage
The boom powder explodes one by one in the order they were placed. If an enemy is killed by two charges then the kill point goes to the one who has the highest damage for the last explosion. If that is tied, then points are awarded to all parties with that damage score.
3. Enemy surfaces and preparation phase:
All wounded enemies will surface and engage the characters. Characters have one round to prepare for combat in whichever way they want. (Moving, Potions, Spells, etcetera.)
4. Combat. Repeated until all Annihilators downed.
Deciding the winner.
The winner is the one gets the highest score when adding the following together:
- Total damage done during the damage phase.
- The Tiers of all killed enemies by the character.
Ability usage.
From the preparation phase and onwards, all abilities and potions can be used.
