Of course, eventually this board will become too big for me to patrol. And while there is not nearly the depth of control site staff would have here as compared to TotS, I'll still need volunteers to help in running it.
Primarily board moderators, and a couple of fallback admins.
I guess "apply" here.

Captain, my captain! Or something...
You know I'm willing to help (the Vakeros take over)

I'm already administrating a couple proboards and I know my way around. Since I seem to be coming back to TOTS I'll throw my name out there, too.

How many volunteers do you need? Looks like you might have enough deputies now but if not I'll offer my services. I've no experience whatsoever of running a forum, but I understand I wouldn't need mad coding skillz to do the job here on ProBoards anyway.

It's all checkboxes and common sense at mod level, and I imagine not much more at admin leve

If the need arises, I'm here, but like Doomy says, you seem to have already enough Mod for now.

But seems a shame that old members such as yourself cannot alter things like the wandering book and west watch when you've been their guardians for so long!

Well, I think there is a difference (and needs to be a recognized difference) between being a site administrator for this forum site, and being a senior member of the community. Frankly, too many other communities make the mistake of making those people the same people. Speaking for myself, I concur that there are likely already enough "sitestaff" for this forum's present needs, and in any case, the point of being "sitestaff" is that you are necessary to the continued functioning of the site. That in no way detracts from my respect and recognition of people on the site like Black Cat who have been active in this community a lot longer than I have been. Being "sitestaff" should not be regarded as some sort of "badge of honor" or "badge of rank" (though I realize there are those out there with the misguided notion that it should).

Yeah, it was first-come, first-serve on the staff. As for other categories of staff, moderator jobs will be going out soon. Having a forum assigned to you, by the way, just means that if you happen to go into it and see something that needs changing, you'll have power to do it. It doesn't mean you have to patrol every post.

Well if you still need staff members I am up for the job. I have admined several different proboard websites so I know it like the back of my hand. So yeah... But if you have enough admins and moderators already that is fine too.
Let me know.

Ok, I'm asking officially to become a staff member, not to moderate forums, but because I want to be able to post news items in the North Watch. During the last months of the original TotS site, I've published many news items, so many in fact that I became like second to WH in terms of news submitted and published (I'm a journalist after all ;D). Well, now that Mongoose has officially revealed the new cover of book 6 (the title hides the face of the Dakomyd!), I would had loved to be able to post this in the right forum. I'm pretty sure that it won't be the first news item that I'll be posting on this forum, so that's why I'm asking to be staff member.

Agreed BC. It wouldnt be ToTS without our resident news-hound! Drop a mail to FA and see what she can do for you.

Indeed! And as a side effect, you'll be able to mod the West Watch one again as it should be

FA will probably make BC moderator of the North Watch, so he can post items there. He said he was going to assign moderators soon.
