Doomy laughs as he brings down another of the hulking brutes. Unfortunately this causes his next couple of shots to miss their target. Cursing, he wills himself to regain his concentration lest he have to cut down all who remain with his axe.

Aguila shouted out a new battle-cry to renew her concentration, and tnother battle-cry to prolong the duration for her flaming arrows.
She then took aim at the footsoldier she had wounded before, and was pleased to see him take another arrow in his stomach and collapse forwards in a head.
Noticing that the approaching line had come considerably closer she then decided to aim at the heads of the tougher looking soldiers. She was pleased to see that her arrows struck home again and again. Some of them tore up wounds in their head while some of the arrows hit the annihilators between their eyes.
A few arrows later three of them lay dead on the ground with their heads burning from the flames of the magical arrows she had fired at them. Aguila noticed her battlecries were becoming weaker again, and she started to consider if it was worth the effort to renew them again, or if the approaching horde would reach the defending line first.

Although I am not suprised by the lack of kills on my part, I relish the moment that hand-to-hand is at last here. Tossing my bow aside, I draw my blade and hold it by my side. I turn round and eyball the wolf, who is still wasting his time with his bow. With a grin, I tumble over the edge of my position and land gracefully on the ground. Looking towards the incoming enemies, I leap to my feet and charge.

The advancing horde does not seem deterred by the fact it has been almost completely wiped out. Doomy resists the temptation to fire at the Kai hunter as he charges into the fray and concentrates on trying to bring down the most dangerous survivors before engaging with his axe.

Beowuuf takes the time to fire a few more shots at the oncoming footsoldier he had targetted. Spotting the zealous Kai Hunter moving, Beowuuf rolls his eyes and moves off with weapon in hand to hand to aid the other human figure he spots to his left

The commander for the defence lines commands the archers to fall back when the annihilators approach. It would seem that he has not noticed the gaps which has started to appear in the enemy lines.
Many of the people falls back from the line to stand behind a second defence line. Aguila quickly observes that these people seems to have been armed only with their bows.
In fact all seven people to the right of her position retreats. To her left she notices that the Dwarf, Doomy, seems determined to make a stand.
Glancing at the approaching line Aguila feels confident that she and Doomy will hold and defeat the remaining annihilators on the right flank easily, and most of them will be downed before they reach them and can exchange blows.

As the advancing enemy drew closer, Trasken finally found it easier for him to hit them. His arrows sang true and downed a couple of the Annihilators. One in particular, a larger and more fearsome than the rest, had an arrow plunged into its shoulders but still carry on like it was nothing. Trasken lick his lips and dropped his bow. The time has come for a hands on approach instead...

Doomy's final shot, at point-blank range, smashes open the skull of one of the huge warriors like a rotten watermelon. However one of the annihilators is upon him, its snarling nightmare of a face seeming mere inches from his own. Suddenly, the foul creature gurgles and collapses - a Telchos arrow protruding from its throat. Doomy looks to Aguila Saber and grunts acknowledgement before shouldering his rifle and charging into the fray, with his axe held high and a lusty battle-cry of "FOR BOR!" piercing the air.

Beowuuf was satisfied with the shots he made to drop the footsoldier, but spots a few of the warriors are still alive on the field looking for trouble.

...and what an approach it was.
Abandoning his post, Trasken took his axe and raced across the battlefield towards the oncoming wave. He could hear the singing of a few arrows and the loud bang of the Bor rifle from behind him but he was fixated on the powerful Annihilator that took his arrow. The closer he gets to the enemy the stronger the scents of death and blood filled his nostrils, instinctively began to boil his own blood. As soon as both of them came into range, Trasken swung his axe with all his might in a deadly arc that was meant to cleave the Annihilator into two.

As Doomy's axe claims one of the aggressors, the gunner looks around for another target. It is then he realises the field of battle is strewn with dead beastmen. The entire horde has been slain. "Hmph. That'll teach 'em," grunts the dwarf. "Who's for a brew?"

The advancing annihilators were now in close range. Aguila felt confident that every shot she fired now should down one.
Her first arrows hit the head of the footman running towards her.
Her second arrow she aimed at the approaching warrior, but the dwarf to her right fire his rifle and moments late the head of the warrior erupted in ichor. Aguila quickly aimed at the other advancing Footman and fired again. The footman took the arrow in the throat and collapsed to the ground.
There was now no Annihilators headed in her direction. Most of them seems to be heading towards one of the line who had rushed forward. Aguila downed the Healing Potion she had readied, and then discarded the bow for her spear.
She joined the fray and started to pick off the footmen. She took one of them with the spear in the stomach and then wounded another in the shoulder before she downed it with her second strike.
She looked up and noticed that the fight was over. She had downed the last of the enemies. She allowed herself a smile and then returned to collect her bow.

Trasken was bathed in blood, his axe by his side kept him standing still. His mind was racing, he could barely recalled what had happened. As soon as the first of the enemy fell, he entered a crimson-filled vision, letting all his pent-up rage flow out. He only stopped swinging when there was nothing more in sight. The bloodlust had drained him a bit and Trasken was not about to fall here in the battlefield. He took a glance of the nearest carcass and lick his lips. He was pretty sure that no one would mind if he took a bite or two out of these Annihilators...

Dusting myself down after the battle, I wipe the ichor off my blade and reset it in its sheath. I had taken more hits than I would have liked, but still we have come through victorious. Ignoring the dwarfs cry for ale, I turn and walk back to the camp.
