Isn't there something about the Jakan breaking if you use it in the archery tournament where you can win the Silver Bow?

Isn't there something about the Jakan breaking if you use it in the archery tournament where you can win the Silver Bow? This refers to another Jakan bow. The player is given the option of choosing between i) Durenese hunting bow ii) Kalte bone bow iii) Jakan (different from the one in Book 5) If he/she does not have a bow at the time of the tournament

I see. Didn't know that, as I've always started that book with a bow. Thanks.

Not sure why you want it...there isn't any rules or statements on saying you can use it as a weapon. So that when you're picking items at the beginning of Book 6, you don't have to use up a choice to get a bow....?

Sure, it's probably not explicitly stated that you don't take the jakan, but I sure don't get the sense you can take it. Not sure why you want it...there isn't any rules or statements on saying you can use it as a weapon. Depends on how it's printed. As a general rule, if it's capitalised you can take it (this may even be explicitly stated somewhere in the rules). So if it's 'Jakan Bow', it's an item and you could make a case for being able to keep it. Having said that, I personally would only take it if the text tells me I can.

Well, maybe take the Jakan then...at least it will be good as a bow for fishing when Lone Wolf goes for his retirement fishing trip...
Which reminds of Brendan Fraser (as Rick O' Connor) fishing in the Mummy 3...
