I forgot Supernatural, yeah, its a guilty pleasure but I think it's quite fun and funny with some really great plots. There was a recent one with a gruesome groundhog day, hysterical at first with a really great emotional ending I remember MASH, I also was fortunate enough to see it without the laughter track, which anoyed the crap out of me when I saw versions with it in later in life. I remember the swith over from TRapper to BJ and losing the original colonel to colonel potter to be a bit weird, and I rcall the last few seasons not being quite as good (Except for the end extended episode) but overall that was a great series from my childhood Due South, now yeah, I watched it fro mthe very first episode, like you didn't take the plunge with series three (Except for the first one) which is a shame, as I think callum's character was a good one, just I think I was watching less TV by then. A really fun show, great to have a straight forward good guy again when trhere were far more anti-heroe or gray characters. But I think because it had a usually fun tone two of the best were very emotional (since they stood out), Victoria's secret from the end of the first season and the episode on the second series where they killed off one of the two supporting plicemen - that was unexpected! Though the first leslie nelson one was great

24! 24! 24!
Although I don't watch it as a series. It would drive me nuts to watch it 1 episode a week. I wait for the DVD boxed sets, and blitz it.
Or rather, that's what I will be doing. I borrowed my friend's DVD of Season 1 halfway through Season 6, so I've actually been playing catchup so far. It's been brilliant.
I stopped watching Torchwood Season 2 - mainly because I forgot to watch it a couple of times, and didn't want to have missed any - I might get the boxed set.
Like many of you, I watched X-Files up to the end of Season 3. Then I stopped because it went poor.
I also have all of Deep Space 9 on DVD, which is great fun. I'm considering getting The Next Generation on DVD too.
-GB
And that's about it.

You live in south Wales, are interested in Torchwood and you still forgot to watch it? Shame on you, GB!

You live in south Wales, are interested in Torchwood and you still forgot to watch it? Shame on you, GB! I live in Cardiff and I forgot to watch it! In fact, the building where Jack gets thrown off in the first episode is right next to my flat (I saw them filming it). -GB

In fact, the building where Jack gets thrown off in the first episode is right next to my flat (I saw them filming it). -GB Cool! One of the nurses at the care home I work at is the mother of a stunt man. He's been in Torchwood a couple of times. First in the bar fight between Captains Jack and John (I'm not sure in what capacity though). Later he was the shape changer that bit Gwen the night before her wedding. So obviously Torchwood and Doctor Who are on my list. I'm a major Whovian. Most people have a favorite Doctor, some have a favorite companion. I have a favorite Davros. Despite being a kids show, the Sarah Jane Adventures are damn good. New version Galactica is full of awesome, although whether the last series can match what came before remains to be seen. I've only recently seen Firefly, and it lives up to it's reputation. I do hope we can get 'The Strands of Fate' back up as I now have the perfect motto for the MindBlast talented Moon Owl: "Also, I can kill you with my brain." I stuck with the first two series of Lost, but then it's title became a description of my interest. It didn't help that it got switched from C4 to Sky One. I couldn't keep track of when it was on. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles wasn't as good as I'd hoped, but it was much better than I expected. Although there's been no decision made yet there are signs that this will be picked up for a second series, which is good news. If nothing else, more Summer Glau=good thing . May have to start re-watching The X-Files, what with the new movie out soon. There are plans afoot for a new version of Blake's Seven. The original had moments of genius mixed with utter $h1t3. Let's hope they get the balance right this time.

I forgot Supernatural, yeah, its a guilty pleasure but I think it's quite fun and funny with some really great plots. Surely only guilty because it's only broadcast on that sorry excuse for a channel, ITV 2. Coming up with a channel that was any worse than ITV 1 must've been quite a challenge, but one which they seem to have met head on. Oh, the horror of catching the last few seconds of American Idol before Supernatural comes on! It's a terrific series, keeping a great balance between an on-going background plot thread about demons invading the world, which occasionally comes to the fore, and having satisfying, well-written single-episode plots, which successfully run the gamut of being serious and emotional, exciting, creepy and very funny - often all in one episode. Yeah, that groundhog day-type story the other week was great - moving from hilarious to really-very-serious-indeed - and that and the one before it about people's dreams demonstrated wonderful inventiveness on the part of the writers in terms of what they're able to do with the format. At least I hope it's that, and not that they're running out of supernatural beasties to have running about! And the production values are astounding! It really is like a little movie every episode. Due South, now yeah, I watched it fro mthe very first episode, like you didn't take the plunge with series three (Except for the first one) which is a shame, as I think callum's character was a good one, just I think I was watching less TV by then. Though the first leslie nelson one was great I liked the second Leslie Nielson one even more! The train full of gassed Mounties and a madman with a nuclear bomb and a ghost giving instructions that only two people can see. I'm glad they didn't always stretch the plot credibility that much, but it is very, very funny! Victoria's Secret was great - a huge shift in tone, but carried off beautifully. I remember watching about two episodes of Series 3 and being so let down about the original Ray being gone that I gave up on it. I'm very tempted to get the DVDs though, 'cause I'm sure it did actually continue to be very good (and the BBC part-funded it to keep it going, so it really ought to be watched!). I'd really like to see more of the new Battlestar Galactica. I got the mini-series on DVD and for the most part thought it was great. The only-twelve-varieties thing at the end struck me as pretty stupid, but I expect it's given logical reasoning in the series proper. So, tempted by that also - and I've only just started on the X-Files!

Me likes "current" (as in not-too-old) shows: The Office (the British one), Scrubs and the Simpsons. Oh, and "Comedy Inc.". I don't watch that much TV, btw, lol.

It seems we all agree on Scrubs as a good show. Awesome! Honestly, I wish there were more shows on the air that actually had a message, that left you feeling like you took something good and moral away from it.

Scrubs is a feel-good show, without being corny. The Janitor is da Man, hands down.

Scrubs is awesome. It's funny, it's realistic, it's like viewing your own life as if you worked in a hospital. The nice thing about it is it leaves you feeling like you actually know the characters in the show, because they could easily be somebody you work with.

I can't believe I forgot these two! Sheer madness!
1. Babylon 5. Flawed in some ways, but hugely ambitious and terrifically character-driven sci-fi. I'm big enough to admit that even though the final series was 50% filler due to earlier cancellation uncertainties, by the time it got to the very end and the last episode was drawing everything to a close, I was in tears. Hmm - not sure I really should have been big enough to admit that....
2. Action. Like, apparently, so many of the best shows, this was prematurely cancelled (after only 14 episodes or something), but in that time it managed to be one of funniest comedies I've ever seen. Even though it was evidently bleeped for language when first broadcast on Fox (of all places), how they ever got away with a lot of the material is very surprising.

You all want a list of the shows/movies I've cried during? Braveheart, Gladiator, Con Air (I still cry at the end of this movie and I've seen it 5 times), Serenity, the list goes on...

Yeah, the arc of B5 was great (not so much at all the fifth series, it had a few god stand alone episodes but otherwise not as good without the arc, I had thought the start to crusade would be the end of B5 actually, that would have been interesting. Crusade was ok actually, shame it only got 13 episodes. I had no love for the rangers one (what the heck was JMS thinking with his kickboxing woman firing the guns?)
I was a bit disappointed with the lost tails recently - nothing bad about them, but only two, tenuously connected to the mythology. Still, was nice to see one last outing

Still, was nice to see one last outing My brother practically forced me to get into B5, but I was very glad that I did (though I don't love it nearly as much as he does), but he thought Crusade was only okay, so having not thought much of the first episode I kind of took it as read that I wouldn't like it much. The Lost Tales were okay, but painfully cheap, and rather stagey because of it. Despite the problems with the fifth series, it did manage to come to a terrific conclusion - perhaps B5 should've been left on that high?
